"Whaaaat!?… You know the cure!?"
Kali scream from the top of her lungs making the room shriek and could make your eardrums bleed. Her reaction is quite normal.
Who would have thought that from just a single glance I could find the cure and the problem easily? Without even getting close to the patient and was just standing close to the door at that.
Of course, Kali was looking at me with an unbelieving expression. Even, Shakti was quite skeptical but the fact I know something that only her family or those quite close to her knew about was something she can't comprehend. Did I have the cure for her disease? That is what she thought.
"Now now, Kali calm down. Don't be so rude to our guests… Um, Whom might you be?"
"Ah, I apologize for not introducing myself. I'm called Chikushodo Shinomiya, a teacher. A pleasure to meet you."
"Nice to meet you Sensei. I'm Shakti Laghari… And.."
Shakti politely introduces herself without standing from the bed. Since she seems incapable of moving around. Not uncommon if you exhausted your mana reserves. Just like the vessel earlier, To support its massive size it needs a constant supply of mana to stay balanced.
Shakti hesitated at the end of her introduction.
"Yeah, you don't need to ask. I know the cause of your disease. Well, it's not a disease since it's not life-threatening, however, if you keep using that phenomenon then I can't guarantee your safety, and will receive a harsh setback."
"So you're saying you know what it is."
I didn't answer but smiled at her. Her brows furrowed as she stared at me for a few seconds before asking another question.
"Sensei, can I know what kind of thing is it? How can I use something like this strange phenomenal power? It's like magic."
"If you want to know what it is, I can tell you. However…"
"However, you want something from us right?"
Kali cut me as she harrumphs. She folded her arms as she look at me deadly stare.
"I know something is fishy. You just want to take advantage of us…"
I blankly stare at her. What the heck is this girl saying? Though I might have perverted motives I'm not that scum to take adva-… I shouldn't say anymore. Remembering my past, I wryly smiled. Sighing deep inside.
"Don't worry, I won't do that. I just want you to sign an agreement with me. Since what I will tell you is kinda confidential. I can't tell anyone about it recklessly. The agreement is just easy, the thing I will say will remain a secret and if you breach the agreement you will receive your price."
"So you have motives. Hmph! If it's that easy then we will accept your agreement or something."
"However…."
"What is it again? I can't trust you."
Scratching my cheeks I look at Shakti and gesture her. I know she knew Kali's personality. Telling her a secret is akin to giving a news station a piece of information. Tomorrow your thing will be on the headline before you know it.
"Kali can you please leave me and sensei."
"What!? What are you talking about Shakti? I don't trust this woman she's fishy…Above all, she didn't deny she had an ulterior motive."
"Kali, Enough! Don't be a brat and get out!"
Kali wanted to say something but when she look at Shakti's dangerous expression she couldn't help but shiver as a large amount of cold sweat dripped from her forehead. She bob her head up and down, then she stormed out of the room.
I look at Shuuna, giving her a gesture. She reluctantly followed but also drag the two, Lily and the nurse.
Lily wanted to hear but she is an understanding girl. She knew that it was not good to be stubborn. She's not a first-year representative for nothing. She is smart enough to know what's good and bad.
After they left. Shakti and I look into each other's eyes for a few seconds before I hear sighing.
"I'm sorry for Kali's attitude. She's quite oblivious and mischievous but she's a good girl. It's just you can't trust her in keeping a secret."
I chuckled. Watching her dilemma makes me feel bad for her.
"I can see it. I talk to her earlier and she is a caring and sincere person. I envy her pureness and innocence."
"I couldn't agree more with that. She's absolutely an adorable creature if you excuse her blabbering mouth."
We laughed as we continue to talk about how cute Kali was. As for Kali, she was outside pouting as she blame me inside her mind… Not she's screaming how I took Shakti from her making a ruckus outside. Shuuna and the others are looking at her with blank looks.
"let's get back to the main topic. Do you agree with the contract I set?"
After reading the paper I gave to her. Shakti was contemplating for a moment before staring into my eyes. She nods.
"Okay, let's start."
Casting a spell, the scroll I gave to her burned into ashes. Surprising Shakti as she watch the scroll on her was on fire. She tried to throw it away but found out that the fire wasn't hot or burned her. She raises her head and stares at me in shock… She wanted to say something but she couldn't find any words to say.
"I know what you want to ask. Now that the contract is done. I will tell you about your disease… It's not a disease but just a kind of deficiency. Because you are using your magic frequently the mana inside you has been depleted. Mana is a type of fuel that needs to cast a spell and that is magic. Because you don't have a way to replenish your Mana and the result of you falling ill. Your physical and mental health are both in good condition however, you've burned your spirit by force-casting a magic spell. Because you don't have enough mana, it burned your soul instead…."
I told her everything she needs to know about her magic in one breath. Shakti surprised expression was visible showing after learning the truth. Her mouth turns agape as she continues listening. To think this ability she has isn't that special.
"I don't know what to say. It feels like a new world is opening inside me."
I smile widely hearing her statement. I know that feeling. As a former normal guy, I was also shocked when introduce to magic. I wanted to see this kind of reaction.
"Magic is amazing."
"I know."
"I want to learn it."
I nodded and she was giving off a vibrant atmosphere. I completely agree with her. Magic is amazing.
"So regarding the cure of your Mana deficiency. It's easy to cure it. There are three ways to cure it, First is to practice absorbing mana in the air. This method will also expand your capacity and strengthen your foundation. Though, it will take a lot of time to learn this method, 1-3 years to be exact. Second, Well this method requires intimate contact, and the fastest and easiest method, Transfering a mage's mana to those who have mana deficiency. And lastly, medicine. I don't recommend this since taking medicine is kinda dangerous. It had side effects and it's quite permanent. I don't want it... So what do you want?"
I explained everything and told her the methods of curing her. Shakti contemplated as she thought hard about it. Minutes have passed but she seems quite lost in thought.
"The first one is too long and I don't have the patience to endure another one or more years. Though it's the safest and best method since it will improve my magic as you say. The last one, I wanted to pick that but what kind of side effect is it?"
She asked.
"Well if you don't one to lose an emotion or a finger and toe, worst your sensation. Then I would not recommend it. Magical medicine isn't amazing as you think, this medicine gives you a long lifespan but the price is terrible. Also, there is a possibility there will be something hideous growing in or on you…. In the first place, We currently don't have medicine in curing Mana deficiency, though, we have a temporary one. You need to take it constantly. One piece of advice, it tastes horrible and disgusting, and you also need to take it on time. If you don't the side effect will take effect."
I said. However, deep in my head, I tried to divert her thought to the second method. Yes, I want her to pick the second method. What's wrong with that… This girl is just too beautiful to leave her to others. I'm quite greedy I admit that. But, who here doesn't want to bed a pretty girl anyway.
My only objective is, I want to fuck her.
