Kapitel 30: Watatsumi Days Out
The next day, they tried to find something while moving around the underground passages and tunnels.
"Watatsumi-san, do you sense anything?".
No. The dragon shook his head in the subconcious space. They went down the mountain and search the Ryu Clan ruined home, even turning the floors upside down. Shou look through the biggest houses and the shrine again but Watatsumi does not sense anything nor did Shou see anything.
After searching the whole day, they find nothing.
"Hmm... Watatsumi-san... Is it possible that the Otsutsuki had taken your body? Or it's sealed in another land... Or even another dimension?".
The dragon thought about it.
It's possible.
Now. Who do he ask for clue?
Someone who's old and know the dragon probably...
Actually, he remembered someone who might know. Someone who is ancient and has lived for a long time!
Hagoromo!
"I think we could ask a person who's quite knowledgeable. He lived for a thousand years already you see".
Hmm. What being is it?
"Uhh. It's half human half Otsutsuki. His mother is Kaguya Otsutsuki".
Interesting. How do you meet him?
"Well... It's difficult. But we should be able to meet in in 2 or 3 years. There would be a great war happening at that time and Asura and Indra reincarnates would receive power from that Hagoromo".
Hmph. 3 years... Fine. But you have to keep trying to find my body!
"No worry Watatsumi-san, I will keep my promise".

"Sorry for not being useful much to you". Hikari apologised.
'You don't have to apologise. I can't find anything either. Even Watatsumi can't sense anything. Maybe it's not here. Well, it does not make sense to seal the body and the soul at the same place after all'. Think about Moryo which had his body and soul sealed separately at different countries. And it's also possible his body is sealed in a different dimension since it involves the Otsutsuki.
"Then... Our search stops here. Sorry Watatsumi-san". Hikari spoke.
'If we find anything, we will pass on a message to you'. Kuroma was also indebted to Shou.
"Thank you. You can send the letter to Kirigakure. But uhh. Just don't write the details too much. They shouldn't know I had the Light Dragon in me".
'Alright. We will'.
'Shou-san, how about staying with us at the village for another day. You had worked hard for days after all'.
"Well, it would be much appreciated". Shou smiled a little.
They went back to the village, meanwhile the villagers looked curiously at them. Because Hikari and Kuroma had lost their markings and horns! Now they looked like normal people.
Few people even went close to ask them about it.
They avoided talking much though.
At the house, they decide to celebrate a little. A lot more meat than usual as Shou ask Fukurochi to locate any 'food' from above, making its easier to catch. Fukurochi of course stayed for dinner.
Shou also made his signature slushies with different fruit syrups.
Let me taste them! Move! I have been starving for years!
Shou was startled and almost dropped his spoon.
"Okay. Don't scream Watatsumi-san. You startled me".(*・～・*)
Shou closed his eyes for a second. And the other second he opened it, his eyes turned gold and had a slit pupil. It's clear Watatsumi had took over.
Shou is now inside the subconscious space, looking through the eyes of his body from a screen. It's kind of like watching TV. As he (dragon) taste the slushy, Shou can feel how the dragon actually likes it a lot. He felt the emotions of the dragons a little. And he can also vaguely get into his shoe to image the taste of the slushy, but it felt unreal. Shou guessed this is how it's like to be in here. The senses felt numbed and dulled. Not to mention inside this space it's dark and gloomy, except the screen in front of him which is seen through Shou's eyes and some muffled sounds from outside. If the body closed his eyes, it's basically completely dark. Shou can also close the senses from getting into the space like putting up a curtain.
"I see... So Kurama does not see what Naruto was doing all the time if he choose not to see it...". Shou blushed a little thinking what Kurama sees when Naruto was doing-
Oh no! Why am I thinking that?! Sorry Naruto-kun. It's quite a funny a joke that's been around (｡・//ε//・｡).
Hold on. Watatsumi won't peep on himself, right? Shou don't want to ask and don't want to think about it anymore.
Talking about Naruto, he had already went to Konoha before he went to the black market. But they simply said Naruto was out on a mission and that's that.
He can only guess he is out training with Jiraiya already.
Coming back to the subconscious space, Hikari and Kuroma noticed the eyes changed and now they understood what it meant for the dragon to take over.
"Hmph. Not bad!". Shou let out a big burp. His hands are greasy and his mouth is stained with sauces. He consumed 2/3 of the food by himself!
"It's a pity this body stomach is too little!". Ryushou shook his head.
Watatsumi-san, how long are you staying in there?
"Hmph. I want to take a walk around for few days! It's been so long since I can move this freely!".
Hmm. Okay.
"Hmph. I want to sleep first! It's been so long since I sleep properly! Where is my dwelling?".
'Ah... Yes Sho- Watatsumi-san. Your room is there'. Hikari felt a little weirded out but still pointed it out.
"Hmm!".
Shou snorted and jumped into bed.
"These human cloths are annoying". The dragon grumbled and took off everything.
Watatsumi-san!! Don't take everything off!
"Hmph! I do not subscribe to human culture!".
At least, lock the door! What if someone comes in!
"Hmph. Fine".
Shou felt embarassed. To think 'he' or rather this dragon actually sleeps naked with his body it's as if he is the one who's sleeping naked. He almost regrets it.
The dragon even snored in Shou's body, with some drool falling off.
Oh Kami!... This dragon is making me look so uncivilized!
Shou closed the 'curtain' and just sleep inside the subconscious space not wanting to see himself being so embarassing.
2 days later.
Hikari knocked on the door, quite worried that Shou haven't come out at all.
"Shou-san, are you awake?". Hikari felt a little concerned. The door is locked and she felt a little rude to intrude.
Kuroma went to knock as well but theres no response.
"Let me get the key and check", Kuroma volunteered and get the keys. Hiraki stood at the other side while Kuroma unlocked the door and slightly opens it. But he closed it fast as fast as lighting right after.
Kuroma with his face blushing and red had to cover his face with his hand.
"Nii-san, what is it? Is he fine?".
"Don't... Don't disturb him... He's fine...".
Hikari tilted his head not understanding. Kuroma went to walk really fast, seemingly trying to hide his embarassment.
Hikari just let's him and Shou be. Naturally Shou have no idea what Kuroma have seen since he closed the curtain to the outside world.
On the third day, Shou finally comes out.
"Ahhhh.... It's been... So long!!!". Shou stretched out here and there.
Hikari looked over and sees his eyes are still golden with a slit iris. It seems Watatsumi-san is really taking his time with his body.
"You from the Ryu clan. Prepare the offerings to me. I prefer grilled meat".
Hikari blinked twice, and look to her left and right.
Shou just look at her with an annoyed look.
"Your clan was supposed to be my servants. But you people betrayed me in the end. Now I am giving you a chance to serve me and forgive the sins of your clan. Hmph!".
Hikari, while in a daze just nods and went to the kitchen and grill some meat. Shou-san, when are you coming back? Hikari cried inside.
In the morning, Ryushou went out on a jog and frantically rans around.
"Hahaha. Its been so long!".
He climbed the trees, the mountains, swim across the river, and catch fish while he's at it.
"Hmph. Shou, grill this fishes".
Eh?
The real Shou finally comes out. He looks at what had he becomes with an ice mirror.
Sobs.
Some leaves and twigs sticking from his messy hair. His cloths are dirty, his socks are damped, and his shirts has some holes from thorns. He looks like someone who was stranded in the middle of the forest and went through 1 week of desperate struggle to survive.
(╥﹏╥)With tears, he started a fire and grilled the fishes that Ryushou caught. Watatsumi is nice enough to catch one extra for him. Shou is not sure what to think about that. At least he still thinks about him, he guess...
But the problem is, they share a body so he really don't need to eat if Watatsumi eats. What if he gets fat?!
Shou reluctantly ate the fish, because he too missed some food. Although he wasn't hungry being inside the subconscious space, not eating makes him felt not satisfied and wanted to have tastes inside his mouth.
After he's done Watatsumi take over again and ate the rest of the grilled fishes.
"Hmm! You are a good cook!".

Shou watched with discomfort seeing him eat 6 fishes in one go. Since when did he have that big of a stomach?
Ryushou burped a little and pat his tummy.
He stretches his back and neck, seemingly warming up for something.
"It's been a long time since I could fly freely in the sky. I should be able to do it".
Ryushou said to himself, and probably for Shou too.
Ryushou channeled his own power, the white chakra cloak covers Shou's back. It gradually thickens and forms two dense white chakra wings in shape of a dragon wing.
"Ah. Yes. This can do!".
Ryushou flapped his wings and really take off from the ground!
The chakra cloak around him reduce the air resistance and assist the body to stay afloat in the air. It has wind natured chakra laced onto the chakra cloak.
Shou was quite surprised since he haven't tested if he could fly. But it seems he could.
He watched the view from above and sees Mount Koryu from the sky. He can see some small waterfall forming at certain parts, forming small streams and eventually those become the small river that connects to the big Stonemoss river. It's beautiful up here for sure.
"Ahhh!! Fresh air! How long has it been? Hundreds? Thousand? I can't even tell!".
The dragon flies around while reminiscing about the other dragon kin. He had to accept the reality that he is the last one left as he can't sense any of the other dragons.
Shou in the subspace could tell the dragon was thinking about his past and probably felt melancholy about it. The dragon must have a lot of stories to tell.
Ryushou flied down after going here and there back to Ryu clan siblings home.
This keeps going for 2 days as he goes around here and there.
Finally on the third day, Watatsumi is satisfied enough.
"Hmph. You can take your body back".
Shou finally gets out of his subconscious space and into the real consciousness.
His golden eye turned dark brown like normal, his pupil turned round as usual as well.
"You sure enjoyed it a lot...". Shou commented.
Hmph.
The dragon snorted shortly.
Well, Shou figured what he can expect when the dragon takes over. He still needs to teach him to mind his manners. Maybe someday he really would tarnish his image. Oh! The horror!

Kuroma and Hikari felt relieved seeing Shou visibly are normal.
"Haha. I am back. Sorry if he troubles you...".
Hmph. Their clan is supposed to be my servants in the past.
Shou ignored his words.
'Its... Fine'. Hikari showed a reluctant smile, while Kuroma had a poker face but in truth he wanted to slap the dragon if he could but couldn't due to his power. And it's Shou's body too.
What a day...
