Kisses... Been getting a whole lot of that lately.

Funny how my whole life turned around in just a week.

I never got kissed by anyone other than my parents, but now I've been kissed, by two beautiful girls. on the lips!

"Jerome, this is goodbye from me, I won't bother you anymore. it's obvious you don't love me back, and I don't want to be the pushy one" Cindy says quietly after she pulls out from the short kiss.

"Cindy, wait!" It was silent. All i could hear was the sound of my thumping heart. She paused mid-exit.

"Look, Cindy. I'm really sorry, okay? I really am. I'm just in love with someone else, and I can't abandon my feelings for her." The atmosphere was heavy, the air thick with the cloud of awkwardness, but I had to do it.

"I don't love you... But we can be friends?" There was no reply, then she pulled her arm away and walked out.

I honestly don't know what to do. I heave a sigh as I walk over to the couch and take a sit. I'm honestly so stressed and tired.

DING! I pull my phone up to see a text from Claire.

' I'm really sorry for leaving so early. Let me make it up to you. Me, you tonight at the steak house. 7pm, that sound nice? '

Okay, okay! This is crazy! Our first date! My first date! I can't believe this.

'Okay, I'll see you then! ' I text back with the widest smile on ma face.

It's 5:30 already, I have to get her something!

I scramble off the couch and rush to my room, frantically trying to think of what to get Claire. Flowers seem too cliche, chocolates are too basic, and I don't know her well enough to get her anything else. I groan in frustration and collapse on my bed. This whole dating thing is harder than I thought.

After a few minutes of sulking, I decide to call my sister for advice. She's always been good at this kind of thing.

"Hey, sis, I need your help," I say as soon as she picks up.

"What's up, little bro?" she asks.

"I'm going on a date tonight, and I don't know what to get her. Any ideas?"

There's a moment of silence on the other end, and then my sister speaks up. "How about a necklace? Something simple but pretty."

"That's a great idea!" I say, grateful for her help. "Thanks, sis."

"No problem. This is the first time you're asking me about actual girl and dating stuff. Don't mess this up, okay??"

"I won't," I promise before hanging up.

With renewed energy, I hop off the bed and head to the mall, determined to find the perfect necklace for Claire. After browsing for what feels like hours, I finally find it: a delicate silver chain with a tiny diamond pendant. It's not too flashy, but it's elegant and timeless.

I check the time on my phone and realize I only have thirty minutes left before I have to meet Claire. I quickly pay for the necklace and rush out of the mall, hailing a cab to take me to the steak house.

When I arrive, Claire is already there, waiting for me at a table near the window. She looks stunning in a red dress that accentuates her curves, and my heart skips a beat when she smiles at me.

"Hey, you," she says as I approach the table. "You look handsome."

I feel myself blush at the compliment. "Thanks. You look beautiful."

We sit down and order our food, making small talk as we wait for our meals to arrive. I can't help but steal glances at her, admiring her beauty and feeling lucky to be on a date with her.

As we eat, we talk about our hobbies, our favorite movies, and our families. We discover that we have a lot in common, and the conversation flows easily between us. I feel myself relax and enjoy the moment, forgetting all about the stress of the past week.

After dinner, we take a stroll around the city, holding hands and enjoying each other's company. As we stop by a park, Claire turns to me and smiles.

"Jerome, I had a really great time tonight. Thank you for taking me out."

I feel my heart swell with affection for her. "Me too. And I have something for you," I say, pulling out the necklace from my pocket.

Her eyes widen in surprise as I fasten the necklace around her neck. "It's beautiful," she says, running her fingers over the pendant. "Thank you."

I feel a surge of happiness as I watch her admire the necklace. This is it, I think to myself. This is what it feels like to be in love.

As we walk back to her apartment, we stop by a street vendor selling ice cream. We share a cone, giggling and playfully nudging each other as we lick the melting ice cream.

When we reach her doorstep, Claire turns to me and smiles. "Goodnight, Jerome. I had a really great time tonight."

"Me too," I say, leaning in to give her a kiss on the cheek. But before I can pull away, she turns her head and presses her lips against mine, kissing me softly but passionately.

My heart races as I feel her lips on mine, and I can't help but respond, deepening the kiss. For a few seconds, the world around us fades away, and it's just the two of us, lost in the moment.

When we finally pull away, we're both breathless and smiling.

"Goodnight, Claire," I say, feeling my cheeks flush with excitement.

"Goodnight, Jerome," she replies, giving me one last smile before disappearing into her apartment.

As I walk back to my own apartment, I can't stop thinking about her, replaying the moments of the night in my head. I can't believe how much my life has changed in just a week, from never having been kissed to now having been kissed by two beautiful girls and going on my first date.

I'm still processing everything when I get back to my apartment, but one thing is clear: I'm looking forward to seeing where this goes with Claire.

I slowly put my fingers on my lips. "Best day ever!"
