"No more games, I'm leaving."

The man's hoarse voice came again.

Then, there were footsteps and the sound of a door closing.

"He's gone?"

Fang Xiaocao muttered to herself, stunned.

His abrupt departure was something Fang Xiaocao had never anticipated.

Fang Xiaocao took a deep breath, calming the terror she had just felt, gripped the Flying Dagger in her hand, and slowly walked toward the bedroom door.

The moment Fang Xiaocao's hand touched the doorknob,

her cellphone notification sounded again.

The frog-like ringtone startled Fang Xiaocao.

She jerked her hand back from the doorknob as if she had been electrocuted.

"Huff..."

"I need to change this damn ringtone."

Fang Xiaocao grumbled as she checked her phone.

[Hot Noodles: Don't open the door!]

Seeing Hot Noodles' message baffled Fang Xiaocao, but she quickly realized the implication and stepped back in panic.

"He hasn't left!"

A thought rose in Fang Xiaocao's mind.
