Kapitel 177: Stealing Proofs

In the opal palace, Lucas's study-

Just as the door closed, another door that was attached to the storeroom opened. Rowan whose white attire was full of mud and cobwebs entered the room.

A spider was crawling on his clothes but he did not pay any heed. 

He ran toward the table and flipped the files as fast as he could. His eyes scanned every parchment with knitted brows while his ears were on the door.

He knew that it would take Lucas twenty minutes to reach and return from the garden. He has to be fast enough.

He threw the second file on the table instantly regretting when the parchment fell out of it. 

Taking a deep breath, he worked on arranging them first. He could not leave any clue or Lucas would come for him.

Sweat fell from his face and the drops fell on the table. It was already fifteen minutes and still two files were left. He had not found the report he was looking for.
