"My lord.." Garry ruffled his wet hair as the maid helped him in dressing up. His face was still red after the long warm bath or the anger he was controlling, only he knew. 

But the maids make sure to not make a single voice.

"Not a single word about it, Isla. I have already overlooked that you followed me to our bedroom." The woman bit her lip and bowed her head as she tried to hold her trembling body.

"The duchess misunderstands you." she whispered, despite the order when the man shut his lips tight as if he did not hear her.

"Let Rowan leave his premises. We can not force him more than he could bear. I will not have dinner tonight." he picked up his coat and left the room.

The old woman sighed and shook her head. Her eyes unconsciously fell on the picture on the opposite wall.
