A brief pause later, Eliseline asked her final question. 

"Will you be healing Lord Balint?"

"That's the plan. But from how everyone reacts to healers, I don't think it would be that easy to meet the old mage."

Certainly, five years ago there were droves of supposed healers headed towards the north, trying their luck at healing Lord Balint. None could live up to their promises, making the profession of healers frowned upon in Artorius. 

"But if you see him, will you be able to heal him?"

"Unless he's exceptionally unlucky, there should be no problem," Savine said. "But even then, I'll be able to tell what he's sick with at least."

Eliseline nodded. Savine finished smoking her pipe and went silent for a bit.

"It's so annoying…" she murmured eventually. 

"What?"

"My job."

Eliseline tilted her head. "The Architect's Quadrant? I guess there are your duties as bishop as well."
