The dreadful thought appeared in her mind again.
What if he knows, and he's never letting her out of here?
Murkato tried hard to argue back.
'No, if he knew, he would've killed me already.'
No. Her father was someone who could very comfortably keep her daughter in the room for however long necessary, just so he could see the results of it. He could very well be using her as an experimental subject.
Perhaps he was keeping her here, waiting to see when Murkato went crazy, and when she decided to starve herself to death. There was no one here to force feed her the food.
The trays of food appeared when she slept. It was to make sure she really didn't interact with anyone. And honestly, Murkato would've begged the person who brought her food to let her out and if that didn't work, she would beg them to at least talk with her for just a bit.
