"You okay, kid?" someone waved a hand before him.
"Leave him be," Savine was nearby.
"Ma'am?"
"He lives in the temple, I'll get him there," she said. "You all can go home for today."
"You sure?"
"You seem quite energetic, you wanna run a final lap for me?"
"No, ma'am! I'll be right on my way!"
The conversation sounded distant to Lihar.
Savine was staring into Lihar's eyes, a contemplating expression on her face.
"I feel like our parents are kinda… super awesome?" she said. "I'm born with all this mana, and you're born with that body… it's almost like you were born to be an Augmented mage."
Lihar had no idea what she was talking about. It somehow felt like he wasn't even sure how he was listening to all this and whether he was listening to it at all. It was akin to a dream.
