Rong Jingyi was the eldest daughter of the Rong Family, married to Elder Master Xie. She was injured during the birth of Xie Jianan and, ever since, was unable to have more children.
She discarded a six of bamboo, glancing at Jiang Xi casually, without taking her seriously.
Jiang Xi leaned forward slightly, glanced at the tiles in front of Lady Gu, who had a mix of everything, all jumbled up.
Jiang Xi looked again at the tiles on the table, and it was apparent that Rong Jingyi was aiming for characters; to her left and right, one played circles, the other bamboo.
With the revealed tiles, it seemed all three players were waiting for the winning tile.
Jiang Xi played a character, then heard Rong Jingyi's gentle, oriole-like voice, "I have won."
She took the played tile, toppled her hand, and as everyone checked her tiles, laughter ensued.
Madam Song teased, "Jiang Xi and Jingyi really have a connection; as soon as she arrives, Jingyi wins with an 'add-on' tile."
