"Brother Tao, what's wrong?"
Wang Xiaoyi noticed Zhou Dao's unusual expression and couldn't help but ask.
"Let's go, to the Demon Control Department!" Zhou Dao said solemnly.
"Just returned and now going to the Demon Control Department? Wouldn't it be better to go back first…" Wang Xiaoyi hesitated.
"I said go to the Demon Control Department!" Zhou Dao shouted in a terrifyingly cold tone.
Wang Xiaoyi was startled, as he had never seen Zhou Dao with such an expression before. He immediately urged the horse carriage to head for the Demon Control Department.
The road was quite deserted, with almost no one on the streets, and some vendors' stalls laying scattered on the ground.
Occasionally, people would poke their heads out of their houses, observing something outside.
"Huh? Something's not right." Wang Xiaoyi furrowed his brow, sensing something amiss.
"Hold on."
Suddenly, Zhou Dao raised his hand to signal, and the carriage came to a halt.
