"To become a licensed wizard, you will need to get your rank and battle capability assessed. We will start with assessing your rank then move on to the second part," Marissa explained, 

"I understand," Valerius replied.

Marissa walked behind the counter, pulled out a dark round orb from under the desk, and placed it on top of the desk.

She then explained what it was. "Young master, this is called a Rank Assessing Crystal. It is used to assess one's soul power to determine their rank. Just release your soul power into it, and it will reflect your true rank."

After that, she gestured to him to try it out.

Valerius nodded, put his hand on the orb, and let his soul power flow out freely from his palm into the Rank Assessing Crystal.

As his soul power went into the crystal, specks started forming on it. In total, 35 appeared. 

Each speck represented a unit of soul power.
