Kapitel 35: The misery of others is a laughing matter for us
Do you know what I like about coming to ryouzanpakou?
Besides the obvious that Miu lives there, there is a lot of Master living there. I might not be at their level yet, But I still got to spar with them from time to time. Especially with Akisame and Apachai.
While it's true that we did not see them training in the anime, except the few glimpses that were shown in the manga and anime, they still follow a certain strict training menu that they created for themselves.
Well, everyone except Hayato. I never saw Hayato train even abit. The closest training I saw that he did is when he train Miu. I don't know how he still maintains his buff figure without training, despite his old age. Even mom still train even though she did it only occasionally.
But, as I said earlier, the other masters still train a lot. Besides Miu, I also asked them to spar with me, especially Akisame and Apachai and they were happily obliged with my request.
Of course, they were holding back when they fought me. They are after all a master level fighters, while I'm still an expert level fighter.
I requested Akisame since he is a jiujitsu practitioner, and I want to compare my jiujitsu level to a real master level jiujitsu practitioner besides mom that won't kill me. And Akisame did fulfil all the criteria.
And Akisame himself want to see the difference between his jiujitsu style and the Kushinada style, so accepted my request. Of course, he didn't try to copy the Kushinada style, merely want to know the difference.
For Apachai, well I have my doubt when I want to request a spar with him. Of all the masters at ryouzanpakou, he is the one that has the hardest time controlling his strength. Don't get me wrong, besides Sakaki, he is the nicest person at ryouzanpakou, but he just didn't know how to restraint himself. Of course, he can try to imagine fighting a child or animal-like in the anime, but when he did that, he hold himself too much that I defeated him. So, I had my doubt. Fortunately, Akisame was there when I'm mulling how to make Apachai fight me while holding back way too much. So Apachai did start to be able to hold him back.
Not by much of course. I swear that I could see the author smug grin whenever I finished my spar with Apachai. I want to punch the author face at least once. No, once is not enough. I need to beat him up, like a lot. Who made an aspiring martial artist, cool and handsome MC like me clingy and a crybaby when they saw their Mom?
Author: Please don't. I'm weak. And I'm sorry about when you are just six. I don't know what am I thinking at that time.
Anyway, despite my near-death experiences every time I spar with apache, I continue on the spar with him. Why? Well, just because I guess.
Put me and my spars aside, both me and Chikage are currently having dinner (while defending our food from the masters) at the ryouzanpakou. With entertainment to add. How hospitable they are.
What is the entertainment you asked? Listen well my Minions, it is already part of humans to laugh at another person when they are in misery!! And my entertainment is another misery! Kenichi misery to be exact!!
Me and Chikage having dinner at ryouzanpakou will inevitably meet a tor. I mean Kenichi that being trained by the masters. And it's fun watching him being tort.. sorry, Kenichi trying to finish his training menu.
But I'm here as a visitor, not as a martial artist or as a boyfriend, so if he asked me if I'm a martial artist, I will not confirm nor deny the truth. I don't want to be nagged by him and niijima after all.
Unfortunately for me, and fortunately for Kenichi, Akisame declared that his training is done for the day, and he was allowed to have dinner.
While trying to walk to the dining hall, Kenichi finally registered our presence.
"Aah. it's the two from school. What are you guys doing here? Are both of you want to join the ryouzanpakou? Don't! As you can see from my training, it is hellish!" Said Kenichi.
"Hahaha, you are funny. My, I and my little sister are having dinner here as you can see. Our mother is busy at the moment, so there is nobody to cook at our home. And for training? Our mom won't allow us to train here even if we want to. Anyway, my name is Genji, Kushinada Genji, and she is Kushinade Chikage. Nice to meet you Kenichi" I replied to his question
"Hello" greet Chikage
"Aah, yeah nice to meet you Genji-san, Chikage-san. My name is Shirahama Kenichi. But how do you know my name Genji-san?" Asked Kenichi
"Hmm? You didn't know? you are quite infamous at the school. The new rising star of the delinquents of the surrounding area. The one that beat up the Karate Club" I replied him.
It's true, not something that I made up. Kenichi fame is already widely spread in the town. It's the result of the alien.
"I'm pretty sure that there are a lot of people that looking for you. Many students from my grade are looking for you to test whether your fame is the real deal or not." I informed him of his predicament.
"I.. i. I'm done for!! Master!! Save me!! Tell me what to do!!!" Kenichi is having a mental breakdown.
A chance for Mischief! I slightly nudge at shrinkage, while slightly glancing at her. When she felt my nudge and saw my glance, then looking at Kenichi, and me again, suddenly she has a realisation expression, and directly adopt a scared and crying little girl
"Bro... Brother, I'm scared.. huhu.. what if he bullied me when you are not with me? Brother... huhu" (fake) crying chikage exclaimed while hugging me
"I will do my best to protect you. Even if he beat me up a thousand times, I will not let him harm you!!" With full of determination, I exclaim.
The masters are trying to hold their laughs I can see them. Kenichi, when he heard the both of us, are blanched for a while and started to point to us while shaking
"What are you talking about, you are tall and buff, more than me! How can I beat you!!" He screamed at us
"What are you talking about, you demon!! You even can beat up the karate club that has been training for the National, how can you not beat us to a pulp!" I glare at him
"Genji! Chikage! Can you stop bullying Kenichi? and it's not polite to talk while eating?" Suddenly Miu's voice interested us from the door. While she sounds angry, I can see the slight twitch on her face. Ha! That was fun.
"Ignore them, Kenichi, they were just joking with you" Explain Miu to Kenichi.
Kenichi himself just laughed wryly while scratching his head. Then he suddenly realized something
"Aah, how can you do that Genji-san? protecting your food from the master. Are you a martial artist Genji-san?" Said, Kenichi
"It's just a small trick I learned along the way Kenichi," I told him without admitting that I am a martial artist
"Can I know the trick Genji-san?" Asked Kenichi. Kenichi had been eating dinner several times at ryouzanpakou, but his food was always stolen by the masters. Even a mouse and a cat stole his food. So if he can learn the trick to save his food, it will save him a lot from hunger.
"Do you want to learn it, Kenichi?" I asked
"Yes!" Kenichi replied
"Do you want to learn the trick?" I asked him once again to see his determination
"Yes!"
"The trick is...." I put suspense to raise the tension. Kenichi leaned forward to hear my answer. Even the master is listening closely, curious about my answer.
"To be as Awesome as me!!" I exclaimed.
