Kapitel 1: Starting Point

In the middle of the Yorbian continent, in the United States of Saherta, in a random casino.

"Seven, seven, this time it's seven..."

The quiet casino was like a bomb whose core had been detonated, making a loud noise.

"Come on, get out of the way, it's my turn, you idiot!"

"I'm next... I'll bet on seven too..."

Unlike the excited faces of the players around him, Ash looked at the dice on the table calmly. For others, playing dice is a matter of probability or luck, but for him the outcome was already a sure thing.

The croupier with a serious face, held the dice tightly, at this moment the light dice seemed extremely heavy.

Seeing all kinds of chips piling up on the mark that represented the number "Seven", until it formed a small hill.

It was at this point, the croupier knew his career was over. No, it could be worse. After all, the casino belonged to a gang, which was not known for accepting losses very well. With such a huge and imminent loss, it would be hard to keep your head on your shoulders, that is, connected to your neck...

Thinking of this, the croupier looked at the indifferent Ash, his eyes gradually turning red. She couldn't understand, how could such a situation happen?

The handsome young man in front of her had won eight games in a row, not a single number he picked was repeated, they were seemingly random and unconnected numbers, but every time the number he picked was the correct one.

She couldn't calculate how small the probability was, of picking a random number eight times and still being correct every time. In all the years she had worked at the casino, she had seen all sorts of attempts at cheating, but this time was different. The dice belonged to the casino and the guy had never touched them. She had always been the one to roll the dice. No matter how much she thought, she couldn't tell if the man in front of her was cheating, and if he was, how he managed to cheat right before her eyes...

Meanwhile, Ash was very calm and didn't mind letting the croupier delay the roll.

But someone next to her couldn't wait.

"What are you doing! Play quickly, what's all the fuss about?"

Seeing that the croupier was reluctant to roll the dice, the players next to her began to curse, trying to force her to play.

Many others rolled up their sleeves and seemed ready to use force.

At this moment, a voice came from behind the crowd, "The casino is almost closing for today, my dear guests!"

Looking back following the sound, one saw a middle-aged man with a big belly, surrounded by several strong men in suits, guarding him on both sides. The middle-aged man had a small goatee and a cigar in his mouth. At first glance, he looked very similar to Capone Bege from One Piece. The person who came was Piers, the famous gang boss of this city. Seeing that the boss behind the casino had appeared, some people planned to give up as soon as possible, but most of them were greedy people who were blinded by money. In their opinion, this was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, and they were unwilling to leave just like that, until they saw the guards taking out their pistols, ready to open fire. The gamblers who had looked as fierce as hungry wolves just now, turned into docile sheep in the blink of an eye. They didn't even dare to say a harsh word and left in despair. The casino, which was originally packed with people, was now empty, leaving only the croupier and Ash where they were. Seeing the boss taking action, the croupier breathed a sigh of relief. His delicate face showed a slight hesitation. He swallowed and slowly opened the dice. One, three, three - a dead seven!

At the same time, Piers came to Ash's side with his guards, clenched his fists and made a clicking sound, and said with a ferocious smile:

"Boy, are you brave enough to come and cause trouble in my casino?!"

As Piers said this, he addressed the croupier on the other side of the gaming table, ordering the poor woman to step back.

"It seems like you don't want to pay me the money I won, right?"

Ash raised his eyebrows and pointed at the mountains of chips on the table.

"Hahaha, you still want money? Not only will you not get the money today, you'll also have to leave your head behind!"

After he finished speaking, the gang guards on the left and right surrounded Ash and drew their pistols.

Looking at the dark muzzles pointing at Ash's head, Piers didn't see the panic he expected on the boy's face.

"You boy! What are you laughing at!"

Ash looked at Piers, a disdainful smile on his lips:

"Me? I'm laughing at the idiot in front of me.

A street corner thug wants my head. That's the funniest thing I've heard today. Don't you think it's very funny?"

"Well, what could I expect from the scum. Since you don't follow the rules, I won't be merciful, Gardevoir, please!"

What Gardevoir?

There was a trace of confusion in Piers' eyes, the round eyes covered in fat made them even more funny and full of confusion.

In an instant, a wave of pink energy, which no one else could see, struck the guards, with Ash as the center.

The guards who were alive and kicking one second fell to the ground the next.

There were no signs of breathing anymore, threads of bright red blood flowed from their noses and ears, their mouths were wide open, and their eyes turned completely white.

Several burly and powerful men collapsed to the ground as if all the bones in their bodies had been pulled out.

"Ahhhh! Monster…monster…demon!"

After witnessing such a scene before his eyes, Piers hurriedly retreated, muttering words like "monster" and "demon" hysterically.

The gangster's fat body couldn't keep its balance and fell heavily, the layers of fat on his face trembling as he fell.

The fall brought him back to his senses.

He was a somewhat influential figure, and he had heard some rumors, so he was able to recognize that he had met a person he couldn't afford to offend.

"Now, can I have my money?" Ash's frivolous words were like the devil's whispers in Piers' ears.

"Yes, it's okay... You can take everything... And everything, sir."

"I just ask that you let me go, please."

Piers knelt on the ground with tears in his eyes, begging bitterly for his life.

He didn't want to die yet! He was too young to die!

The richer and more powerful a person was, the more afraid of death he was...

"Oh~ so I can take as much as I want? Then bring me all the money you have here."

Hearing this, Piers' face froze, a bitter feeling couldn't help but start to take over his heart.

"By the way, whether you pretend to be dead or run away and come back for revenge, it doesn't matter to me, scum like you will always be trash."

Ash looked at Piers who had an expression of horror and hatred on his face.

This kind of reverse plot between the hunter and the prey is really satisfying. No wonder so many people like to pretend to be pigs to eat tigers.

A few minutes later, Piers returned to where Ash was, carrying two large boxes of money.

His face still showed the fear of death, but deep down there was a well of pure hatred, practically undisguised, as if Ash had murdered his parents or stolen his wife.

"One more thing, how long will it take to get an identity certificate?"

Ash, in the Hunter world, didn't have an identity. He was like the people of the famous Meteor City, a person who didn't exist to the world.

But now, an opportunity to solve this problem had fallen right into his lap, so he might as well take it.

"A... week or so."

Ash looked at Piers, who was covered in cold sweat and breathing heavily, and gave a broad smile.

"Okay, I'll give you this week. During that time, I'll be staying at the hotel next door. Let me know when you're ready, now get out of my sight."
