"Layla, don't you think that's too sneaky? Asking me to tell you that right after I promised to fulfill five wishes" he said with a low chuckle, one that tells me that he doesn't want to tell me nothing

"Daddy, trust me, I'm not trying to be sneaky or anything, it's just that she has been on my mind for quite a while now," I said trying to give a reasonable excuse as to why I got curious about her all of a sudden

"And I haven't?" he asked and I gave a small laugh

"I wasn't saying that and you know," I said replying to his pettiness, I know he's just deflecting from answering

I have a huge feeling he's going tell me to come home first or ask me what I've been up to or something, anything, just to make sure he isn't talking about his wife

"Well, why aren't you asking me about me?" he asked and I rolled my eyes slightly annoyed
