Kapitel 70: Chapter 70: A Deal With The Underworld

Approximately one week before Zane arrived at the Anunnaki's mothership...

Zane fluttered his eyelashes as he awoke. An awful taste was present in his mouth— somehow very similar to anesthesia.

Carefully, Zane eased himself up. His body felt numb and his head was in a slight daze. Suddenly, an awful pain zoomed through the right side of his body. Zane groaned and held himself searching for a moment of relief.

Painfully, he took deep breaths. He needed to soothe the pain so he could focus. Zane lifted his eyes to scout the room around him. He was surprised to see that he was situated on a small surgical bed in the middle of a dimly-lit room.

"Where am I..?" he asked himself.

Slowly, Zane placed his bare feet on the cold floor. His body tingled as if it was not used to the stimulus. Zane took a good look at himself. His body seemed normal but somehow felt different. His senses were heightened and his body felt stronger.

"Did my plan work?" he muttered.
