Merlin didn't let Orion absorb Rowena's Ravenclaw's Diadem, the reason being that Orion's magic was still not strong enough.
Orion actually wanted to quickly increase his magical power with those Horcruxes but Merlin almost poured cold water on his ambitions.
"If you want to absorb that level of dark magic, then you should be at least a Level 3 at the stage of an Advance Wizard."
He is only Level 1 right now, he couldn't help but just internally groan at Merlin's statement.
But there was nothing that he could have done, but that doesn't mean that Orion wasn't planning to gather those Horcruxes.
He already planned to get that Tom Riddles Diary, before it could even reach to Hogwarts.
Other Horcruxes which he can actually get are the Gaunt family ring or the Helena Hufflepuff Cup are still far out of his reach.
The only other Horcruxes he can get is the Locket Of Salazar Slytherin.
"Hey Merlin, it's time to get it, the locket," Orion said and felt like a certain pirate who suddenly dropped a bomb on the audience when he decided to go after the most mysterious treasure in the entire anime.

Orion stood before the foreboding gates of the Black Mansion at 12 Grimmauld Place, London, a structure that had witnessed centuries of dark secrets and untold magic. The air around him seemed to thicken as he approached, the ancient stones of the mansion looming over him like silent sentinels.
His intention was clear, he came for the Locket of Salazar Slytherin, considering he might not be the only one who knows about the Horcruxes, Orion had to gather all of them as soon as he could, otherwise, Nick or someone like him who knew about them will take them.
The wrought-iron gates, worn and rusted, groaned as Orion pushed them open, revealing the overgrown garden and the imposing facade of the mansion. The grandeur of the structure was marred by the passage of time, and shadows clung to the cracks and crevices of the stone walls.
And there was a Ward waiting for him, others might even not consider coming near a ward of an ancient and noble house family like Black but Orion was different. He could just absorb the magical power of the wards, and Sirius can just reactivate them later on when he gets released from Azkaban
As he stepped onto the cobblestone path leading to the entrance, the atmosphere grew colder, the whispers of the past echoing through the stillness. Orion hesitated, his hand hovering over the ornate doorknob. The legends surrounding the Black mansion painted it as a place of both power and peril, and he couldn't shake the feeling that the very air carried the weight of centuries-old enchantments.
Maybe for the first time, he took out his wand to protect himself, technically there shouldn't be anyone here except an old house elf, but it still didn't calm his heart.
It's strange how he can kill a Vampire, and a Troll and even punch the living daylights out of a dark lord but he is, only a tiny bit, afraid of the unknown.
Taking a deep breath, Orion pushed the heavy door open, its hinges protesting with a mournful creak. The entrance hall greeted him with faded tapestries and a sweeping staircase that seemed to ascend into shadows. The air felt heavy as if the very walls were watching and waiting.
Good thing that Orion cast silencio on him and anything which could make noise. He made sure that there was no way to find him, his magical signature was hidden, no noise or smell, he used a transparent spell on him so he was invisible and lastly, the wards of the place were down.
Orion moved cautiously through the dimly lit corridor, walking in the dark as he needed no magic to navigate in the dark, he could see just fine, thanks to the Vampire he absorbed. The journey to locate the Locket of Salazar Slytherin led him deeper into the mansion's labyrinthine halls, each step a testament to his determination.
Although he was already inside the place and thankfully wasn't spotted, he still had to find that damn locket, sure not gonna be that easy.
The place is big for a house, not to mention magical in nature, he can't just rely on his eyes here.
Orion took a deep breath in and then spread his magical senses, trying to find any foul magic, anything which his senses considered tainted or he felt disgusted towards, but to his surprise, there were many items in the Black Manor that he found disgusting and tainted.
'This is not going to be as easy as I thought,' Orion sighed.
As he approached the threshold of what he considered the right place to covet the locket, Orion's heartbeat quickened. He could sense the ancient magic pulsating through the air, urging him to proceed. The door before him, adorned with serpentine carvings, stood as a gateway to both mystery and potential danger.
With resolve in his eyes, Orion reached for the handle, preparing to enter the heart of the Black mansion and uncover the secrets that lay within.
"This ain't it," Merlin from the side said.
Orion saw the cursed item in front of him but it was not the locket he was looking for.
"Don't worry, got almost a month more until I need to move back to Hogwarts, that much time should be enough," Orion just muttered sarcastically.
