Kapitel 309: Chapter 309 : Court Trial 2

The courtroom at the Ministry of Magic was vast and imposing, with rows of high benches filled with officials from the Wizengamot. Cornelius Fudge, the Minister of Magic, sat at the head, his face stern but uncertain. To his right and left were other prominent members of the Ministry, all watching Orion intently. Dumbledore sat in the back, silent, observing.

"Orion Ambrosius," Fudge began, his voice echoing throughout the chamber. "You are here today to give an account of the events that transpired during the final stage of the Triwizard Tournament. Several lives were lost, and a significant portion of the grounds near Hogwarts was destroyed. We need you to explain what happened."

Orion stood in the middle of the chamber, calm and composed. "It started as planned," he said, his voice even. "The final test was to find the tri-wizard cup before others in that maze. But things didn't go as expected.

By the time I got to the cup, I saw Morgan there already. I rush to get the cup before her. But it turned out that we both ended up touching the cup together.

However, things changed from that point, instead of coming back outside of the maze, we were teleported away.

I was in the Godlic Hollow.

That were we found who did that in the first place. It was Voldemort." Orion said calmly but this was already making others chatty.

Fudge hearing this immediately wanted to refuse but he couldn't because the Auror's gotten back the dead body of Voldemort and they even confirmed that the was Voldemort through his magic.

"It turn out that both Hermione and Nick were Death Eaters. They basically set up this entire plan for Rose Potter, not us, we were never supposed to get to the cup in the first place, but something apparently went wrong. Instead of Rose, we ended up teleported away.

Then I fought with Voldemort. That fight was responsible for the death of Voldemort and Bellatrix I killed both of them, of course, it was self-defence." Orion state with few changes.

He plan on this story where Morgan was supposed to be the good person while Rose wasn't suppose to be there in the first place.

Which was the case, just Morgan had taken the form of Rose.

This also work out for him as he had to do minimum tampering with his own memory. Just replace Rose image with Morgan. That could be a issue but no one gonna make too much fuss about it even if they find something wrong seeing that she can't be anyone else beside Morgan.

Rose after all was back inside the maze at that time.

He didn't wanted to do that, especially let Hermione's name fall to a Dead Eater but right now that was the best option.

Murmurs spread through the room. Fudge raised his hand to silence them.

"Do you have any evidence ?" Fudge asked, to which Orion just nodded.

"Yes, I have long given my memories of what happened back to the ministry," Orion replied.

Fudge didn't know that, Amelia Bones was responsible for dealing with this case completely and she was right now sitting on the side, standing up.

"Yes... what Mr Ambrosius said here is correct, the Auror office has already confirmed that. Besides the fact that they ended up coming to that place where the destruction took place, how Ms Morgan died. Everything is in order." Amelia replied making others in the courtroom break out in gossiping.

Orion's eyes narrowed slightly. "Yes... my own memories are not that clear after that point. I remember killing Voldemort but after that, something happened. I felt pain and then everything went blurry for me. I remember there was still fighting. It wasn't me. Nor Voldemort. Whatever happened, It has to have happened between Hermione, Nick and Ms Morgan." Orion said and then shut up. His work mostly was done here and now Dumbledore should take over.

"We test... there really no clear memory after that, there is no sign of tampering either." Amelia Bones said.

"Then what was the cause of such devastation?" Fudge asked with a little louder voice.

"What happend to Nick Iron, Hermione Granger... even if they are death and it doesn't matter much seeing there is enough evidence of them being Dead Eaters. But what about Ms Morgan... What happened to her." Fudge asked again.

Orion paused. "I did what I had to. I told you what I know and show you what I remember. Beside that I know nothing." Orion said, refuse to say anything more than the story he already planned. Leaving the rest to Dumbeldore and how the old man handle the situation.

"Are you saying you were responsible for their deaths?" Fudge asked, his tone a mix of suspicion and plotting.

Orion met Fudge's gaze without flinching. "Those who died, even those who I killed myself are responsible for their own death."

The courtroom fell silent. Fudge glanced around the room, uncertain how to proceed. He cleared his throat. "And the destruction? The land near Hogwarts... what caused that?"

Orion's voice remained calm, but his words were chilling. "Don't know, I was out by that point. My best guess is that after I took care of both Voldemort and Bellametrix and lost consciousness, Morgan fought with both Hermione and Nick. Maybe they killed each other, maybe it was a desperate move in one of there part, that last attack which caused that much destruction seems like someone will only do if they don't have any other way out." Orion shrugged and replied. Finally glancing at Dumbledore to take over, any more and he might really show them who really did that destruction.

'I hate Politics…' Orion grumbled as he slumped down on a chair after the trial was done. Dumbledore wasn't joking when he said that he was good when it came to political talk.

Once Dumbledore took over the trial, he mainly sat there and got bored seeing those old people talking him to death.

Ultimately the trial ended with Fudge calling out the trial and dumping all the blame on Voldemort and those two dead Hogwarts students.

Orion honestly even failed to realise why they held a trial in the first place, if all that bastard needed was a good convincing story to publish in the newspaper, then he could have just come to him. He had many of them in his mind revolving around.

'Complete waste of time.' Orion angrily muttered with irritation.

Maybe part of the reason why this all happened is exactly what Dumbledore told to him. They wanted to put political and psychological pressure on him.

It's understandable seeing how much reputation he has currently in Magical Britain.

With the name of both Ambrosius and Dumbledore, that alone is more than enough to cause havoc in the upper circuit of the magical world, he was kind of a big shot when it comes to popularity. But that is also fine, technically they wouldn't have done this just because of their heritage or popularity.

However, he is not only popular but also strong, strong enough to kill the most dangerous dark wizard of all time and he was barely an adult. Only 15 years old.

Orion was a genius who solved the most dreading problem of the current wizarding world, the issue of Squibs. He was young, Handsome, Powerful, Rich, richer if only they knew, and more than anything he had a royal background backing that others could shake.

Dumbledore alone was enough to deter most of the people. This incident was indeed a way to put it down.

Orion though, hardly cares. He didn't care that they were secretly trailing him. They are accusing him of using dark magic himself, otherwise how he suddenly get this strong, it's unnatural for a 15-year-old kid who matters even if he is from both Merlin's and Dumbledore's line to be able to beat Voldemort.

Strange how these same people were ready to believe that a boy barely a year or half old was able do the very same.

Sigh...

Orion has spent enough time in the magical world right now to realise that although the majority of the magical populace are like sheep, following whatever is told to them.

There are only few people who have mind in this world and they hold all the power.

They knew that it wasn't Harry potter who did that shit but now they push that narative nontheless. Just because it was beneficial for them.

Orion shook his head and decided to rest for few seconds before he get out of there and go to talk with Eric, it was very important now that he get an entire picuture of what's happening. Then and only then that he can prepare for what's about to come.

xxx

At first I intent to made Orion go berserk in the court but later on didn't write that, mainly becuase his current mindset doesn't seems like someone who wants to attract more attention then he already is getting.
