Ren did not move, nor did he attempt to hide from Lyfra's assault. His guard stood firm, gripping the wrist of her attacking arm with one hand and shielding him with the other.
Honestly, even Ren was surprised by the speed with which the guard dashed to his side.
He glanced at Lyfra, who was now pushed back into her chair.
He spoke as he got up from his seat, "That ends our meeting, I guess. See you, maybe, never."
He adjusted his clothes, brushing off imaginary dust as he collected his thoughts and forced his agitated mind to calm state.
The guard, whose name he still didn't know, stood beside him like a silent guardian, unwavering and vigilant. Ren glanced at him briefly, musing that professionals truly are on another level.
Thank you so much, my lovely readers, for reading this silly story. It makes me happy when I see so many people loving it.
I know, this story is nowhere near the top ones but it still makes me so happy to see the collections and fans increase little by little.
As, I have said before, this is my first novel and I wanted to write a slow burn... but for my second novel, I want to write a dark romance between a fragile innocent beauty and a demon of sort???
Well, I haven't decided on it yet.
On the side note, my laptop will be healthy and back from the hospital tomorrow. ~ A little happy dance~
