Mikael let out a raspy cough, his throat feeling slightly scratchy and uncomfortable. It was as if tiny feathers were tickling the back of his throat, making him cough intermittently.

Sensing his discomfort, Nicolaus retrieved a glass of water from the nightstand, offering it to Mikael.

Taking the glass, Mikael took slow sips, allowing the refreshing water to run down his throat. Each gulp washed away the prickly sensation, offering relief from the irritating discomfort.

With a frown of mild frustration, Mikael tried to recall the time he took a dose of the potion. "...I think, cough, it took a week, cough, until the effect washes out," he managed to mutter, his voice interrupted by occasional coughs that punctuated his speech.

After taking another few sips from the glass, Mikael placed the glass back on the nightstand, feeling a bit better but still sensing the lingering scratchiness in his throat.
