Kapitel 130: The Maze

The only one not affected by the weird sensations was Lifen. 

"Care to explain what's happening?" She nervously asked. 

"I don't know myself," Bahlam admitted, looking around. "Only that I feel weak."

"Saraquel has always had a weakness for humans," Lucifer explained. "So he made damn sure that only humans can approach him." 

"What does this mean for us?" Euthymia felt the effects too. 

"We lose our powers until he goes wakey-wakey." Lucifer then looked at Lifen. "Which is why you need to come with us. You're the only pureblood human here." 

The woman frowned. "I never intended to join you this far in. Look at me, I am walking around in heels and tight pants."

"We'll-" 

Lucifer stopped in her tracks. The elevator had stopped moving, but there was still a clanking noise. The platform began to creak as the mechanism tried to pull it down despite the apparent resistance.
