Chapter 73: United Front

On the other side, at the privateering alliance's public anchorage, the wooden structure of the sailing ship creaked rhythmically with the undulating waves. A lantern hanging on an iron hook cast a dim yellow light, revealing a long human shadow.

The blood light from Byron's palm, the 'Blood Grail,' gradually dissipated along with the disappearance of several privateering pirates who had been sleeping soundly in the cabin. After finishing the job, he turned around and walked out of the forecastle cabin where the officers of the privateering ship rested.

He bumped into two pirates patrolling the night with whale oil lamps. The two pirates, panicking at the sudden appearance of a figure, were about to raise the alarm.
