Kapitel 7: Chapter 7

“You can’t destroy good furniture, Flynn.” Caspian shook his head. “You might not want them, but somewhere there might be someone who needs a bookshelf or a sofa. Someone who can’t afford to buy one in a store.”

It was scary to look at someone so much like Blade who showed compassion. Flynn didn’t know what to do. He wanted to run, wanted away from Caspian, and yet he was in no hurry to move. “So what do you suggest?”

“Put out an ad. If you’re not looking to make money, say they can have the bookshelf for free if they come and get it.”

“I don’t want anyone knowing I’m here.” The familiar panic scratched at the inside of his ribcage. He didn’t want to talk to anyone in this village.

Caspian’s lips thinned. “I can help you. We’ll put in an ad, and I’ll be here when they come and get the stuff.”

Flynn stared for a long time. “Why would you do that?”

“I have nothing better to do.” He shrugged again. “I want to help you.”
