Kapitel 1: Chapter 1: Prologue

"Where am I?"

That was the first thought that crossed my mind upon seeing something so surreal, because the only thing I could see was as if I were in space, surrounded by countless asteroids orbiting around a pillar of light.

When I took a step, a small ripple spread out, similar to the ripples created when a drop falls into calm water. The scenery was stunningly beautiful, but it was better to figure out if there was a way to leave this place. Besides, the only thing I remembered was going to sleep, and this felt far too vivid to be a dream.

With no other choice, I began walking toward the golden pillar of light. For some reason, it felt oddly familiar. After walking for about a minute, a kind of blue hologram appeared.

It was an adult man who seemed to be scolding a child. As I approached, I could hear their conversation, though the man's voice sounded slightly ethereal.

"What did I tell you about what you must do when you meet some of your targets?"

"That you should never show mercy," the child replied, lowering his head slightly.

The next second, the man kicked the child, making him gasp loudly before struggling to stand.

"You'd better be more careful, or you might become a target for your brothers."

After that, the hologram disappeared, only to reappear and repeat the same conversation loop. It seemed like a fragment of a distant past, so I kept walking for another minute before another hologram appeared.

This time, it was the same man, only he looked slightly older, and there was a teenager standing behind him.

"I've taken care of all the targets on the list. But why was she one of the targets?" the teenager asked emotionlessly.

The man fixed his cold gaze on the young boy and said

"No member of our family should have weaknesses, so make sure this never happens again."

"Yes, Father."

The hologram ended, and I continued on my way, only to encounter another hologram of the same young man laughing maniacally over a pile of corpses.

"HAHAHA! STUPID FATHER! HAHAHA!"

The scene struck me as strange because the corpses were unrecognizable, they had no faces, as if they were censored.

The next hologram wasn't anything special just a child having fun with his family. But the hologram after that showed the same child, slightly older and smiling, only this time, he was alone.

"This is so much fun. One moment I'm here, and the next I'm there."

The child seemed to enjoy himself, having gained the ability to teleport.

I moved to the next hologram and saw that the boy had grown into a teenager. He was crying, his body covered in blood. The smile he once had was completely gone.

"Why?!WHY DOES EVERYONE TREAT ME LIKE A MONSTER?!"

For some reason, a tear escaped my eye but vanished as if it had never existed. In the next hologram, there was another boy watching something on TV. This time, I had a bad feeling—it seemed eerily familiar.

Wait. Wasn't that me as a child? I approached, but this hologram was just a 3D image with no dialogue, so I moved on to the next one.

"Go outside and play. Don't spend all your free time cooped up in the house. Go out, play sports, hang out with friends, get a girlfriend. Just don't waste your life within these four walls."

"That's boring. Besides, getting a girlfriend means spending money and time I could use for gaming or watching videos," my younger self replied.

My mother looked frustrated, no matter how much she scolded me, I never changed my mind. I still don't see what's so wrong with that. It's much better than hanging out with druggies or gangsters, who are pretty common near where we lived.

I kept walking to the next hologram. This time, I was with my computer.

"I can't believe it worked. Even though it's blurry, ugly, and the cutscenes run at 15 FPS, it works perfectly."

I watched as I celebrated being able to play Honkai Star Rail despite my PC not even meeting the minimum requirements. I always had to lower the graphics as much as possible to play smoothly.

I also tried with Genshin Impact and ZZZ, but even after downloading them, they wouldn't let me log in.

Ignoring that brief thought, I quickly moved to the next hologram, feeling a bit anxious. For some reason, I had a bad feeling about how the previous holograms had ended.

To my dismay, when I reached the final hologram or so I thought I saw myself sleeping. Suddenly, I sat up and stared blankly into the void. My expression was lifeless, and my eyes sunken. Without warning, the figure grabbed its neck as if something invisible was choking it. It began convulsing, struggling to release a scream that never came, while my body jerked forward with erratic, desperate movements.

The hologram suddenly shattered, and unlike the others, it didn't loop. For some reason, I didn't feel much conflict watching this. It was as if this place kept me calm at all times.

To my surprise, letters began to float

[Don't you think it's tragic?]

Reading that, I felt a bit confused. Was someone watching me?

"No, it's just another story. I'm just a random person out of the billions on Earth. Aside from a few close family members, I'll be forgotten by everyone, just like countless others. Although, well, it's a bit disappointing to just die like that. I wanted to have more fun playing other games. But oh well, at least I made it to 19 years old, which is more than many can say. Some kids die before they even have a chance to live."

Why am I suddenly saying all this?

[So, what is it you desire most?]

That question caught me off guard. Not even I know myself well enough to have a clear answer. But, well, something came out of my mouth before I thought too much.

"To live an enjoyable adventure with relaxing, serious, or tragic moments."

The letters began to shift again

[Is that all? Don't you desire infinite power? Many women? Knowledge spanning the cosmos? Unprecedented wealth? Eternal life?]

"All that sounds tempting, but honestly, I'd rather enjoy the process of earning those things, if I even want them. The only thing I care about is having fun. I'm pretty content with what I have even though I had a junky PC to play Honkai: Star Rail, I enjoyed the adventures of the Astral Express. The same goes for many other games I tried in the past, but that's the one I remember most now."

Suddenly, many figures began to appear around me. They were small, but I recognized some shapes. Sharingan eyes, spheres of light, things I had seen in games and anime. Before I could take a good look, everything started spinning faster and faster.

[Choose one. It will be a blessing or a curse.]

"A blessing or a curse? How dramatic..." I thought as I watched everything spin like a gacha. I had no idea what was there, and it didn't seem like I could stop it.

Without thinking much more, I reached out and grabbed something at random. I felt a chill when I saw it, a humanoid figure, black as a shadow so dense it seemed to absorb all the light around it. Its form wasn't entirely stable, like smoke shifting constantly.

I had a strange feeling holding it, but there was no time to think. Everything around me went dark.

"AAAAHHHHHH!"

"AAAAHHHHHH!"

I opened my eyes with a jolt, screaming. My heart was racing uncontrollably as I tried to calm myself. My hands were trembling, and I realized I was gripping the sheets tightly.

"Are you okay?! You scared me to death screaming like that out of nowhere as soon as you woke up."

I turned to the side and saw a girl approaching, worry etched on her face. She was quite cute. Her hair was short and a vibrant pink that stood out even in the dim light of the room. She wore a white scarf with blue accents draped over her shoulders, giving her a cozy yet carefree look.

Her eyes were mesmerizing, a multicolored gradient of blue and pink, full of energy and curiosity, as if she were always ready to take on any challenge.

She was dressed casually but practically, with a blue jacket and white details that fit her figure perfectly, giving her a youthful touch. For some reason, she felt familiar, and it didn't take me long to recognize her March 7th.

¿Stelle or Caelus?

Honestly, I like Caelus much more because of how awesome his animations are and all that, but if you prefer Stelle, I’m not against it. However, I don’t plan to include any kind of romance between the Trailblazer and the MC.
