Kapitel 56: Kaiser meets the Duke (2)

Why did his first wife's name come out of the mouth of this man? Dante wondered, but quickly snapped out of his daze and frowned at the knight name Kaiser.

''Sir Kaiser, I hope you know that my wife's name is not something that you can say casually.''

He had never called her name in the past. Recently he said her name once, and that was when he feared that annalise and their child would die at Commander Renes's hands.

Now, he struggles to see her, let alone call her name, because he does not have the courage to see those eyes…Those eyes that were once filled with him and only him.

But another man…Another man that was not him called her name. As if the commander was not enough, there is another person who knows his wife, and he said her name as if they knew each other on a personal level.

''Wife?'' Kaiser scoffed like he heard something funny. ''How are you Isla's husband when you have another in your heart?''
