Kapitel 40: Chapter 40: Hinoka vs Sasuke
I froze as I thought, "Dang it I let my guard down! Did he hear what I was talking about with Kagehime?! Did he hear her call me Hinoka?! No, no, Sasuke's straight forward he would just confront me if he heard, and if he's asking what's in the scroll then-"
My thoughts were cut of as Sasuke said, "Answer me or I'll kill you."
I chuckled before saying, "So you still don't trust me do you Sasuke? I guess that makes sen-"
"Stop stalling."
I froze not knowing what to say when he asked, "Do I know you?"
"What do you mean?"
"You seem… very familiar."
I didn't reply as he sighed before saying, "I guess I'll just kill you then."
Just as Sasuke was about to cut my head off, I barely dogged before saying, "What happened to being teammates?" as I thought, "I can't fight Sasuke if he has the intent to kill me."
I suddenly blocked a kick from Sasuke then a punch. I blocked each of Sasuke's Taijutsu attacks before he jumped back saying, "If you keep blocking, you'll die."
Sasuke suddenly kicked me in the stomach sending me flying back. I suddenly blocked a punch staying on the defence as Sasuke kept attacking me. The only thing I was able to was doge and block his attacks.
Sasuke suddenly punched me in the face chiping the bottom of my mask and sending me flying. I hit a rock before falling to the ground. I laid on the ground not knowing what to do when I heard Yukino's voice as she said, "You idiot! Fight! He may be your friend but the whole reason you left your village was because you wanted to protect him and everyone you care about. You didn't tell him your identity because of that. But if your dead you can't protect anybody. If you die how would Sasuke feel when he finds out, he killed his friend? You want things to go back to normal? Well, the chances of that happening are low. And they'll be non-existent if you die here."
I stood up grinning to myself as I thought, "So you do care about me."
"As if, but if you die, I'll also die."
"Keep telling yourself that. But no one can resist my charm."
Yukino slightly chuckled as she said, "Whatever you say, idiot."
I suddenly appeared next to Sasuke kicking him as I said, "You wanna fight then I'll give one."
Sasuke blocked my kick before punching me but just as he did there was a puff of smoke as I appeared behind him kicking him. Matching each other blow for blow. We continued fighting using Taijutsu.
I grabbed a kunai blocking his sword as Sasuke said, "You're not taking this seriously."
"Well neither are you."
Sasuke's eyes turned red as his sharingan activated, my eye's turned blue, activating.
Sasuke looked shocked but it quickly disappeared, I moved to the side aiming a kick at Sasuke's head but just as I hit him, he disappeared.
I started looking around as I thought, "Genjutsu." When something suddenly pierced my shoulder, shocking me. I fell to the ground as Sasuke appeared in front of me his sword covered in lighting piercing me as he coldly asked, "Are you ready to answer me?"
I grabbed a kunai throwing it at him, but it missed him as he increased the lightning my vision started blurring.
I faintly grinned under my mask as Sasuke froze before suddenly falling. His right arm started bleeding as I managed to pull his sword out.
Just as I did everything went black.
*Third person POV*
Hinoka stood up her eyes emotionless as the pattern on them changed she kicked Sasuke in the face with 5x her normal strength sending him flying back, creating a large crater in a rock, before he could fall to the floor Hinoka suddenly appeared in front of him punching him in the stomach.
She continued punching him mercilessly over and over again, his blood splashing her white mask not giving him a chance to react.
She punched him again in the head sending him flying back almost a mile. Sasuke hit the ground creating a large crater as the smoke cleared it revealed Sasuke partially transformed into his second stage curse mark as he thought, "If I didn't activate my curse mark at the right moment, I'd be dead…"
Sasuke abruptly turned to the right spotting Hinoka who was about to punch him. He used his wing to block the punch before kicking Hinoka sending her flying back. Just as he did, he started doing hand signs activating a Chidori.
Just as Hinoka stood up she was suddenly pierced by the Chidori. She coughed up blood as Sasuke said, "It's over." Pulling his hand out as the Chidori deactivated.
Hinoka's body fell to the floor as every where went dead silent. Sasuke knelt down about to remove her mask and as soon as he did, he saw his mother.
Sasuke stumbled back in fear and confusion when he saw his father next to his mother holding her dead body, glaring as he said, "You monster."
Sasuke's curse mark disappeared, as he looked at his hand covered in blood, he was seven again.
Suddenly the desert landscape with large rocks became the Uchiha compound, the dead bodies of Uchiha's laying on the floor. They suddenly started whispering, "You're a monster, just like him, monster, monster…" repeatedly.
"No!" Sasuke exclaimed, "I'm nothing like him!"
He suddenly felt someone grab his leg, he turned around seeing a little boy covered in blood as he asked, "Why? Why? Couldn't you die instead of me?"
Sasuke jumped back as he screamed, "None of this is real!"
Itachi suddenly appeared in front of him and in a flash cut Sasuke's arm off.
Sasuke let out an ear piercing scream, when kunai's suddenly hit him from every direction.
Sasuke kneeled on the floor his left leg and right hand gone. A sword stuck in his stomach as he murmured, "None of this is real, none of this is real…" repeatedly.
He slowly started raising his hand about to undo the genjutsu when he heard someone scream his name. He froze as he thought, "it… it can't be…"
He slowly turned around as the setting changed from the Uchiha compound to the middle of the village his wounds gone. He saw a 6-year-old Hinoka in front of him as she said, "Hey Sasuke! Are you ready for a rematch?!" grinning from ear to ear.
Tears threatened to fall down Sasuke's face as Hinoka looked at him asking, "Are you ok Sasuke?"Tears started flowing down Sasuke's face as Hinoka looked at him worried as she asked, "Are you ok Sasuke?"
Sasuke nodded trying to clean his tears as he said, "I'm sorry…"
"Sorry? For what?"
Outside the gentjutsu Hinoka sat on the floor covered in blood as her hand was on the hole in her stomach.
Sasuke's curse mark disappeared, his sharingan deactivated, his left leg and right hand seriously bleeding, as tears started falling down his face.
Hinoka stood up grabbing her kunai just as she about to slice his throat open her kunai stopped inches from his throat as white snakes held her back.
Sasuke's sharingan activated as he glared at Hinoka before punching her in the face sending her flying back a few meters as he thought, "I wish… I wish I could stay with you forever Hinoka…"
Hinoka managed to get back on her feet. The both of them stood there staring at each other bleeding when Hinoka started weaving hand-signs, Sasuke copied her using his sharingan as they both simultaneously said, "Fire style: fireball jutsu."
The fireballs collided creating a large explosion clearing all the rocks and creating an enormous crater blowing the two back a bit. Hinoka used the explosion as cover as she appeared behind Sasuke the Mizushō activated.
Sasuke turned around just as he did Hinoka hit him in the stomach sending him flying, Sasuke passed through 4 rocks before stopping hitting a large rock creating a crater.
He coughed up blood as he thought, "From the second her eyes turned blue she changed. When she put me in a genjutsu and my arm and leg were cut off, but when I broke out the injuries where there but on a lower degree. Not to mention her speed is incredible the way she moves it's like she's not human. I can barely trace her movements, even with the sharingan and what was that jutsu she used? Who is she? If…if I can't even beat her then I have no chance at beating him. I'm… I'm…"
Hinoka picked up the scroll which was surprisingly still in good condition as she walked towards Sasuke, just as she was about to kick him, she heard a loud voice exclaim, "Sasuke!"
She turned to Karin who was looking at the two of them verge of tears in front of her Suigetsu and Jugo who were enraged by the scene in front of them, charging towards Hinoka.
Hinoka suddenly started running towards them but to there surprise she ran past them.
Sasuke coughed up blood as he thought, "I haven't gotten stronger since the day… Hinoka died. I promised myself to protect her and yet she died, and I wasn't able to do anything…" he suddenly spotted Hinoka running towards Karin as he tried to move but stumbled falling to the floor.
He looked up seeing Hinoka getting closer as he thought, "And now I can't even protect my team, or myself. If only I was as powerful as him. No… no!" Sasuke clenched his fist looking up at Karin before exclaiming, "Karin… run!"
Suigetsu turned towards Karin as he thought, "She's after Karin! I won't make it in time!"
Hinoka grabbed a kunai just as she was about to slash Karin's throat, she heard a voice as it exclaimed, "Hinoka snap out of it!"
Her kunai stopped inches from Karin's neck as she mumbled, "Yukino?"
Her eyes deactivated, her vision clearing as she looked around seeing all the destruction before her, and then she spotted Sasuke.
On instinct she tried to run towards him but fell to the ground she looked at her stomach which had a hole as she thought, "How was I able to move? With this wound and the amount of blood I lost."
She looked up seeing Suigetsu with his sword about to cut her head off. His eyes filled with anger as he exclaimed, "You bastard!"
Hinoka shut her eyes closed as she prepared to die when someone silently touched Suigetsu's back as they calmly said, "Ice release: frostbite."
She heard a loud thump as she opened her eyes. Only to see Suigetsu drop his sword his movements becoming less fluid before he fell to the ground, no longer able to move.
Hinoka looked up at the person behind it, surprised as she said, "Haku?"
