The whole detail showed up on the screen. Shiro's face lit up positively.
Hina saw the smile and feigned a complaint. "You're hiding right now after pulling all those things towards us and you're smiling. I thought you promised to protect me?"
Shiro had pulled almost all the undead toward himself while running from the school and now, he was inside a building, inside someone's house.
"I'm not hiding. How am I supposed to deal with over fifty undead rushing at me from all directions? This is a tactical retreat. A retreat. I'll deal with them so just stay calm." Shiro replied to his partner.
"That's great then. So where are we going?" Hina asked again.
"Going? Where? How can we go somewhere with all those things outside?" Shiro chuckled.
"No, after dealing with them, where are we going? You said you had somewhere important to go." Hina explained her question.
"Oh, it's Fujimi Academy. You're coming with me right?" Shiro asked to make sure.
"Fujimi is like a three-day trekking journey away but yes, I'm coming with you." Hina seemed happy to go on the journey.
"Okay, I need to go take care of them." Shiro walked up to Hina.
He placed his hands on her shoulder and pushed her backward until her back was pressed against the wall.
He tilted her a bit and stared into her eyes. Hina blushed. "Just sit and relax here." He pressed on her shoulder and she went down, sitting on the chair that was now behind her.
"I'll be back soon." He turned to leave.
"You're going to take on all of them on your own?" Hina asked. "Why don't you want me to help?"
Acting all caring, Shiro smiled. "If you ended up hurt, I would've failed to protect you and I don't want that. Besides, I've got a lot of scores to settle with them."
Hearing this, Hina blushed. Her thoughts were all over the place.
"I'll be back soon." Shiro opened the door and vanished from her sight.
Soon, all the noise around vanished too.
Slowly and quietly, she approached the door and opened it.
Shiro and the undead troupe were nowhere to be found.
"He left me again." Hina seemed really pissed off.

Two hours later, Shiro returned with blood all over the cloth he just changed into not too long ago.
"Shiro, are you okay?" Hina rushed and hugged him tightly when he entered.
"Uhm, yeah, I'm fine. It's getting late, we should probably sleep together here."
"Eh? Just the two of us? Don't you think that's too sudden? I'm not ready for that." Hina was blushing, her hand covering her face.
"What are you talking about? I meant let's spend the night here. If you're not comfortable with staying in here with me, that's fine. There are two rooms and I can take the other one." Shiro quickly cleared her thoughts.
"Oh, it's okay. I guess we can share." She replied.
"I'll be back." Shiro entered the bathroom to get washed up.
"So, I made something to eat while you were away." Hina informed Shiro.
"Oh, that's great. Can I eat it right now?" Shiro was happy when he heard it.
"On the table right there. Let's go over to eat."
"Hmm… It's better than I expected. Sure you made this?" Shiro asked.
"What did you expect?" Hina asked with a smile.
"You want an honest answer?" Shiro asked in return.
She nodded.
"Well, I expected very bad cooking. Turns out, you're a great cook." Shiro praised the cooking even more, making Hina blush.
"Thank you very much. I hope I can cook more for you in the future." Hina smiled.
Grrrrrr.
"Was that your tummy?" Shiro asked.
"No, it's not mine. I'm not hungry." Hina replied.
Grrrrr.
The sound came again.
"Shh… I think it came from outside." Shiro put out the candle in the middle of the table.
He covered the food to prevent its smell from spreading.
Shiro slowly tiptoed to the window close by.
He stretched his head to take a peek and what he saw was in no way similar to a human being, but it had one thing in common with current humans.
It was an undead. An undead standing on all four limbs.

If you guys have suggestions about the book, I'd be happy to see them. If it great and ends up being used, the chapter will be dedicated to you.
Today's dose of Shiro's Cheat. Guess what Shiro saw at the end and I'll dedicate the next chapter to you. Thank you all.
I could really use those powerstones though.
Add to your library please. It gets fun the more you read.
