Kapitel 6: First Outing and Encounter
Walking out the front doors of my home I saw the carriage ready and waiting to take me and my father to our destination.
It's been two days since I've had that conversation at dinner with my parents, and today my dad and I are finally going to me with the Gigantos clan.
It's exciting in more ways than one.
Ever since I've been reborn I haven't left the estate grounds. I know it's for my own protection given my position and all, but even for someone lazy like me who is a bit of an introvert being cooped up for so long has made me a little stir crazy.
Basically what I'm saying is, I'm ready to get out this place even if only for a short while.
I moved up to the carriage, and Diablo opened up the door.
"Thank you." I told him, getting in.
Once I did I saw my dad and Angelica already inside waiting for me. Angelica dressed in her maid uniform as usual.
Did you think I was leaving her behind? No way.
Like I said she is my attendant, and where I go she goes. No matter what I say. Well it's not like having her around is unwelcomed. I like having someone watching my back. It bring me peace of mind.
The moment I took my seat at Angelica's side, Diablo closed the door.
Then he moved himself to the front of the carriage and got into the driver's seat. He is going with us as well.
Meanwhile my mother is going to stay behind with Diehauser and hold down the the fort.
I feel sorry for anyone that tries to go against her. My mother is a badass after all. She has the strength of a high-tier ultimate-class devil, and is a master of our shared clan trait. Her specialty is creating man-eating plants that secrete acidic chemicals that melt her victims bodies leaving no trace at all.
She showed it to me once and I got stars in my eyes. I even asked her to teach me the basics.
Soon enough I will be able to melt a female enemies clothes off no problem. Then the vines can move in and finish them off.
It will be glorious!
I put a small smile on my face just thinking about it.
Meanwhile Diablo used the reigns to get the carriage moving.
By the way the creatures pulling the carriage are two Thestral, the same creatures from the Harry Potter novels. Only here everyone can see them.
Anyway once the carriage got moving, several guards used their wings to take to the air and fly beside it.
Then before I knew it we had left the estate grounds and were headed to our destination.

Trees, trees, and more trees.
That's all I saw for four hours straight as we made our way towards the home of the Gigantos clan.
After a while I stopped looking out the window and instead started practicing with my magic.
I began playing around with elemental spells, as well are pure demonic power bullets.
I even shot a couple out the window.
Thankfully the guards just seemed to roll with it once they saw it was me.
My father reviewed some documents.
As for Angelica she fell asleep and ended up using my shoulder as her pillow.
Which I don't mind at all.
Anyway, we continued on for another hour before the carriage came to a stop. Meaning we had arrived.
Diablo came and opened the door.
The moment he did Angelica instantly woke up.
I have no idea how she did that, and I won't ask.
The three of us got out of the carriage. But the moment we did we all heard a noise.
"Agh!"
It was the scream of a little girl.
We all turned in its direction. It was coming from the front of us.
A few seconds after we heard the scream something burst through the trees and landed right in front of the Thestral.
It was a girl. She was mine and Angelica's age, but she has dark skin and short white hair. She also has throwback devil traits just like me and my mother, namely two black and green horns a top her head. As for her attire she is dressed in dirty rags.
Her face is pale and her arms look bony and withered. Indicating that this girl has not had a good life in the slightest.
The girl lifted her head up and looked at us.
But before she could say anything several figures burst out from the trees and landed near us.
They are grotesque monsters with long-lengthy limbs and no eyes, just a big ass monster month.
I instantly recognized them.
They are known as mountain crawlers. They live near and in mountain ranges and kill unsuspecting travelers.
Seven of them are in front of us, looking at us with saliva dripping from their mouths.
"Oh, and where might you disgusting beasts be aiming your filthy gazes at?" Diablo asked with a smile on his face. But the aura emanating from his body told a different story.
This is my first time feeling Diablo get serious, and at the moment just one thought is racing through my mind.
Strong.
Diablo is strong. He's definitely in the league of an ultimate-class devil.
Seeing this I realized just how far I still have to go. But I also felt excited knowing exactly what kind of wall I had to pass to reach the top.
I think I might be a little bit of a battle maniac.
Oh well, nothing I can do about it.
The beasts looked at Diablo once he began releasing his aura.
One of them decided to be an idiot and charge at him. Before the mountain crawler could even get three steps its head was sent flying from its body, the creature dying instantly.
"Such horrid brutes." Diablo mused, his aura increasing. "To raise your hand against such a young girl, but also against my master, his heir, and his own attendant. For that you will recidive no mercy from me." He mused.
Diablo raised his hand in the air and a magic circle form. Then in an instant six demonic power bullets shot out from it and obliterated the remaining mountain crawlers in half a second flat. No traces of their body left.
The moment Diablo finished his aura receded.
Meanwhile the guards formed up around us, while some started sweeping the area for more beasts.
As for Angelica and I we moved over to the girl to help her.
When we reached her she reached up and grabbed my hand. She then looked at me. "Please...save me." She asked.
"No problem." I said.
She is in my territory and as such she is under my protection. So if she needs saving that's exactly what I'm going to do.
Otherwise I can't call myself the next heir of these lands.
"Diablo, please come and assist me?" I asked him.
"Yes young master." Diablo said.
He then moved over to us and began administering treatment to the young girl. Which only went on for fifteen minutes.
Once he was done Diablo looked at us. "Her life is no longer in any danger. The wound she sustained were superficial. However this girl is severely malnourished. I also found evidence of several breaks that never healed properly. From what it looks like she's been on her own for quite a while now." He explained.
I nodded. "I see."
"Diablo, please watch over the girl until she awakens?" My father asked.
"But of course sir." Diablo said. He then picked up the girl and moved her into the carriage without a second thought.
Right after he did the leader of our guard contingent landed in front of my father. "Sir there are no more mountain crawlers in the area. Also, the party from the Gigantos clan has arrived." He informed us.
"Thank you." My father said. "Call your men back and have them set up a perimeter." He instructed.
"Yes my lord." The commander spoke.
He then went to work.
Meanwhile my father and I prepared for the meeting.
We went into the middle of the clearing in front of us and used earth magic to create a table along with several chairs.
We then sat down, with Angelica standing by my side.
Out of the corner of my eye I noticed her fidgeting with her hands. Seeing this I put my hand on her shoulder causing her to look at me.
"It's going to be fine." I told her. "Calm down."
"No, I am fine Asterius." Angelica retorted. "You do not need to worry about-Ow!" She cried, since I flicked her on the forehead.
"Look you may be my attendant, but you are also my closest friend. Don't ever forget that. No matter what I will always have your back." I explained to her.
"Yes." Angelica said. She then showed a rare smile.
I nodded at that before turning back around. As for Angelica her fidgeting stopped entirely.
All she needed was some reassurance.
Despite how cold and tough she acts I know the truth. She is really just a big softie on the inside.
But that's some premium gap moe if you ask me.
Anyway, we only had to wait 15 minutes before the other party arrived.
Stepping out of tree-line came several figures. All of them huge in body, and tall as hell.
The one walking in the front is 18 meters (59 feet) tall. He also has short blue hair and matching eyes. Telling me he is the current clan chieftain Dagruel.
And giant is right.
The guy is the hugest person I have ever seen. But more than that I can feel his power. He is strong.
Closing the distance as they took giant steps the Gigantos party reached us in no time at all.
Once they idd Dagruel took the seat across from my father, shaking the ground around us a bit as he did.
"Dankaiser." Dagruel mused. He then looked at me. "Is this your oldest boy?"
"Yes." My father answered. "He asked to come to this meeting and I allowed him too."
Dagruel nodded. "Good. Better to get the future leaders started young so us current leaders can reitre without worries." He mused.
"Hey, we're not that old yet." My father retorted.
"Yes, you're right about that." Dagruel said. "But enough with the pleasantries. Let's get this meeting started."
"With pleasure." My father said.
And so it begins.
