Kapitel 360: Her Bitterness

Jasmine picked up the video call and placed it on the counter. Her hands kept busy while her gaze was directed at the camera. 

Fortunately, the stove was off. Seeing the familiar face from the other side, she smiled bashfully. It was as though her lover read her mind telepathically. 

Somehow, he always was present when she needed him. Even now, he called when her heart was filled with heaviness. 

Jayden smiled sweetly at his wife. He could read the conflict and sorrow in those gorgeous verdant orbs. They were a mirror to her soul and he was one of the luckiest people to know them.

"My precious, are you okay?" Those were the first words he spoke to her. She took one long look; her gaze locking with his sky-blue ones. 

If he was anyone else, she would have lied through her teeth. Yet, he wasn't just anyone. He was the only person whom she could bear her soul to.
