It was true that Theo was the one, who started the rumors but she never asked Cairn to do such a thing, rather she asked one of her people, who were living outside of the palace in disguise to pay consort Reya's maid for spreading the rumor.

So, there was no way anyone of them could be involved so, the maid was definitely lying.

"You said that you saw her, right?" Theo asked firmly, her enlarged eyes glaring the maid and jaws clenched.

The maid nodded.

"Then where were you standing at that time?" Theo asked.

"Far away from them so that they could not see me!" the maid replied while being a bit hesitant.

"Far away but you still heard them! Do you mean that my people where shouting out loud when the matter could lead to their death or you mean that you wished to get revenge for the slap so you lied?" Theo lips curled up viciously looking at her and she stepped toward her.
