Kapitel 281: Easter Eggs and Sequel

The Matrix 2 was not as good as expected, which is a major blow to Warner.

Before this summer, they had always believed that their movie could become the best-selling movie at the box office this summer. They even hoped their film would become the highest-rated R-rated movie in history.

However, collision with Levi's Three-Body Problem is undoubtedly an unacceptable failure for The Matrix 2.

It is also a science fiction movie, released a week apart. The Matrix 2 has the brilliance of the first movie and is also released later. It has so many great scenes, but it still failed. This can also be said to be extremely regrettable.

In fact, The Matrix 2 can't be said to be bad. At least before its release, its popularity exceeded that of The Three-Body Problem.

On the one hand, Warner wanted to make two movies to make money; on the other hand, the Wachowski brothers wanted to make the movie more exciting and specifically added action scenes.

These two changes made it difficult for people to be satisfied with this movie - People are looking forward to a masterpiece like The Matrix 1, not an ordinary good movie like this.

Many fans also expressed dissatisfaction when they saw that the second was not as good as the first.

From this aspect, The Three-Body Problem is not burdensome. After all, it is the first part. In this aspect, they have much less to worry about.

However, if you are not worried, it is temporary - because after this movie, one of the most discussed issues is the sequel to The Three-Body Problem.

In this movie, Levi did not let the aliens arrive until the story's end. Humanity has defeated the Earth Trisolaran organization and uncovered the traitors inside the Earth.

However, the Trisolarans, far away from the alien planet, have already learned the location of the Earth. They have embarked on a long journey and must have a battle with humanity.

It is impossible to say that there is no sequel.

Actually, from the first moment after the movie was screened, the most discussed issue on the Enigma Company website was the sequel to the film.

Although the first movie gave people a great audio-visual enjoyment, it failed to solve the problem of the Three-Body. This story is not over yet. What the audience wants is not such a solution. What they want to see is a complete resolution of the matter.

Therefore, after watching the movie, the impatient audience naturally started clamoring about when the second part would be released.

After watching The Matrix 2, the audience is also full of worries about the second part of this movie. The Matrix 2 and 3 were rushed into production in 240 days, and the results were not very satisfactory.

This naturally makes people worry: will Levi's movie have the same problem?

Of course, they determined that there would definitely be a second part for a very simple reason: this movie left an easter egg at the end of the first part.

Leaving easter eggs in movies is something that many Hollywood movies do when filming. Doing so can give the story the possibility of developing smoothly.

As long as the box office is good enough, you can make another one. The Three-Body Problem also left Easter eggs in its final stages.

At the end of The Three-Body Problem, those who patiently watched the movie's end credits found a little easter egg.

Still in the United Nations and the Trisolaran War Studio, those who study the contact records of the Earth Trisolaran organization and aliens discovered something.

"In the concept of Trisolarans, 'speak' and 'think' are the same word. Trisolarans are creatures that communicate through brain waves. They cannot hide their thoughts in front of others."

This discovery is said in the movie's Easter Egg. Throughout the movie, the images of the Trisolarans did not appear at all. Their lives were displayed as human beings in virtual influences, and people did not see what they really looked like.

People only know that their bodies were born in a Trisolaran environment. Compared with people on Earth, they can truly realize effective cyborgs. They can better insulate from heat. Their life structures are different from those of humans.

And now, in the easter egg, another of their characteristics is put in front of the audience.

And this feature also means a few things.

"In other words, the Trisolarans cannot hide their thoughts from the enemy. Therefore, it is difficult for deception and strategy to be born in the process of their civilization. They can make great strategies, but they cannot formulate strategies with deception."

Regarding the weaknesses of the Trisolarans, a general immediately got the information he should have, "Perhaps this is our biggest opportunity."

From this easter egg, people are sure this movie will have a sequel.

On the other hand, they are also more interested in how the sequel to this movie should be shot.

The people who are most interested in this are science fiction fans.

For a science fiction movie, the most enthusiastic people are always science fiction fans. There is no dispute about this. While this movie achieved extremely high box office, it also naturally brought great responses from science fiction fans.

Prior to this film, Levi had already launched a prequel-style story to the film through the TV series Ball Lightning. Therefore, although this movie does not have much influence among movie fans, it has a significant influence on many science fiction fans.

When filming the movie, although Levi basically did not involve anything in the TV series in order to allow more fans to understand the movie, he still invited Tim Roth, who played a theoretical physicist in the TV series, to star in the movie, which in itself will please science fiction fans.

After this movie was released, it caused a violent response - Levi's movie is not a space opera but closer to science. This has always been the big-budget science fiction movie that science fiction fans want to see.

But this time, the Three-Body Problem can be said to have broken out of this pattern.

In this movie, high-tech civilization will not go back to using some low-level social models that have been eliminated long ago.

When high-tech civilization faces other low-level civilizations, it will not be a warm, cooperative development or free assistance.

Instead, he expressed hostility in the most straightforward manner. High-tech civilization, the technology displayed, is no longer the constant bombardment of cannons and machine guns.

In this movie, the emphasis is on theoretical physics. As well as their unique technological civilization and way of doing things, they have aroused great response from science fiction fans.

There are many space operas. Although these stories are very interesting, they are too far away from reality.

When the world's technology has developed to the stage of space civilization, how can it be possible to regress back to monarchy in terms of governance?

Space war has already brought war to the universe, so why should we still follow the Age of Discovery war methods?

When an advanced civilization explores the universe and encounters a low-level civilization, why should it send warmth? Or why are the loopholes of high-level societies so easily caught by low-level civilizations and wiped out in one fell swoop?

These problems are all loopholes in science fiction stories, and people generally don't care about them for the sake of better imagination.

However, when there are movies that fill in these loopholes, it also makes science fiction fans very fond of it - of course, maybe with the development of technology, these were proven wrong, but that was a matter for the future after all.

At the end of the first part, humans intercepted Trisolaran technology and were obviously preparing for a cosmic war. So, what would a cosmic war based on existing science and consistent with the principles of theoretical physics look like?

This is what everyone is thinking about.

And besides that, this movie is very in line with the psychology of science fiction fans. Another aspect is that it does not place a one-sided emphasis on human beings.

In this movie, although aliens did not appear at all, the difficult living environment of aliens was well outlined in those five stories. The life of the aliens living in this world can be said to be truly precarious.

They seek to immigrate to the outside world, not because of greed but for their own survival.

However, for their survival, they must eliminate humans - the conflict between the two is the story of the movie and also the part that makes people think.

Human beings are not the only masters of the universe. This is a basic idea shared by all science fiction fans: if humans were the sole masters of the universe, then humans would be lonely. People explore the universe because they don't want to be alone.

However, this question is also placed before people: If what exists in the universe is not friendship but enemies, how can humans fight against this malice?

In reality, the scientist also sent a signal to the universe. There has always been debate in the scientific community about exploring the universe and sending signals to the universe.

For example, Hawking has always been very opposed to this kind of behavior. And now that this issue has been made into a movie, it has been made known to more audiences, leading to extensive discussions: Is this the right thing to do?

Audiences have their own discussions on these matters, and each of them has a different opinion. However, how the original author views it and what the movie should be like is what people are looking forward to seeing.

Since the movie's release, there have been various rumors about The Three-Body Problem 2 on the Internet. In Three-Body Problem 1, there are no spaceships or aliens that people can see. Therefore, many people are also discussing what the alien technology is like.

They didn't appear in the first movie, so they should show their true faces in the second movie, right?

The science and technology in the Three-Body Problem movie are not as close to fantasy as in some science fiction novels. The science and technology it mentioned are all reality or can be inferred.

So, this also poses a question: what will the technological tools displayed with the technologies mentioned in this movie look like?

This issue has also aroused extremely heated discussions, and many people have even begun to try to draw possible spacecraft styles. It can be said that the enthusiasm of movie fans has been fully mobilized.

This situation is, of course, a good thing, and it is absolutely gratifying that someone supports the movie. But compared to the enthusiasm of these science fiction fans, the media's comments are not so friendly.

Polarized media reviews are a problem that many movies will encounter. However, this was the first time Levi encountered it.
