The weight of Z's words hung in the air like a dense fog, choking the room with its heaviness. My mind was racing, trying to decipher if he was bluffing or if this was real. But one thing was clear to me—whatever happened, I would not let anyone walk away without paying the price. Whether Z was a devil himself or not didn't matter. If I could find those responsible and punish them with my own hands, then I was ready for anything. They needed to die. Yes, they needed to die for what they did to Mia.

I clenched my teeth and met his gaze. "I'm ready for anything, but only if you tell me what really happened. Don't try to lie to me."

Z chuckled, a deep, distorted sound through his voice modulator, and leaned in close, his skull mask inches from my face. "Lie to you? Hah, lies are for weaklings." His voice grew louder, more aggressive. "And I am NOT a weakling."
