It was morning, Esmeralda slowly rolled on the surface of where she slept and immediately opened her eyes when she realised two things.

First, the surface was as hard as a rock, second, one of her legs was tied to the bed. She sat down with a slight groan and on looking at her left-hand side, she saw the sleeping crown prince.
