With the loss of his wand and right arm, the dark wizard was completely stripped of his threat. Irina casually cast a freezing spell with her left hand, turning him into an ice sculpture, standing in a row with the other two wizards who had been frozen.
At this moment, the remaining dark wizard's face showed caution, realizing that he had bitten off more than he could chew.
"Petrificus Totalus!" the dark wizard bellowed, a grayish-white beam of light shooting towards Irina.
Instinctively, Irina fired a freezing spell, colliding with the dark wizard's full body-bind curse, canceling each other out. However, after the full body-bind curse scattered, a white shattering curse darted out from behind it, continuing towards Irina.
Witnessing this, Irina couldn't help but feel surprised. The dark wizard had only uttered the incantation for the full body-bind curse, meaning the shattering curse was a non-verbal spell. Moreover, the technique of concealing the shattering curse behind the full body-bind curse indicated that this dark wizard was no ordinary foe.
I see! Irina seemed to understand something. Based on the three defeated dark wizards' magical abilities, they could never have made it out of Knockturn Alley, where evil dark wizards gathered. Normally, they would have been devoured alive by those malicious dark wizards.
The reason they managed to survive and roam freely between wizarding villages was due to their leader, the dark wizard Irina was facing. His magical prowess was formidable enough to lead the other three.
"Leading three followers must not have been easy, was it?" Irina taunted, firing a barrage of non-verbal spells from her wand.
Upon hearing Irina's words, the leading dark wizard's face darkened, evidently stung by Irina's mockery.
Indeed, battling while dragging along three burdens would exhaust even him in the face of countless dark wizards of unknown depths. However, those three were his kinsmen, the last of their family's bloodline. He couldn't abandon them.
"Enough talk!" the dark wizard snapped, no longer concealing his abilities.
Various advanced spellcasting techniques were unleashed, with nearly every spell cast non-verbally. Furthermore, the spells he used were no longer common attack spells but increasingly vicious dark magic!
It's worth noting that he was once an elite Auror before being framed by an enemy family and hunted by the Ministry of Magic. He gradually descended into becoming a dark wizard, delving deeper and deeper, his hands now stained with countless lives lost, a full-fledged dark wizard.
His remaining conscience prevented him from using his full power against a young Hogwarts girl. However, seeing his three kinsmen incapacitated, he disregarded all restraint, determined to obliterate Irina with thunderous force.
An ordinary wizard who learned dark magic and became a dark wizard could still match Aurors in combat. What more a former elite Auror turned dark wizard?
The dark wizard's onslaught intensified, and even Irina struggled to withstand it. Just as she felt overwhelmed and unable to deflect his spells, countless golden beams erupted from behind her, striking the dark wizard with lightning speed.
"Lynn?" Irina turned to see three shimmering golden alchemical formations surrounding Lynn, rapidly firing powerful golden beams.
Lynn nodded at Irina. "I followed your magical trace and found you. How did you get tangled with this dark wizard? He seems formidable!"
Irina said helplessly, "This group of dark wizards bred thieving Nifflers to steal my money pouch. I chased them here, thinking they were just small fries, but I ended up encountering a big one."
The three alchemical formations continued firing golden beams, forcing the dark wizard to retreat continuously. Meanwhile, Lynn casually controlled the formations while conversing with Irina.
Under the high-frequency assault of the three formations, the dark wizard finally exposed an opening. Irina seized the chance to freeze him with an ice spell, turning him into an ice sculpture alongside the others.
"Finally dealt with them. Let these fellas reflect in their icy prisons. Oh, thank you, Qinwee!" Irina exhaled, spotting Qinwee returning with her money pouch. She squatted to retrieve it, patting Qinwee's head.
Seeing Irina had no intention of further action, Lynn shook his head and fired four shattering curses, blasting the four frozen dark wizards into bloody chunks.
The four ice sculptures exploded under the shattering curses, scattering frozen body parts across the ground. Even half of a dark wizard's shattered brain rolled to Irina's feet.
"Bloody hell, Lynn, what are you doing... urgh..." Irina was startled by Lynn's sudden action. Upon seeing the frozen corpse chunks, she bent over and vomited violently.
Lynn stood with his arms crossed, silently observing.
After Irina recovered slightly, Lynn asked, "Never killed before?"
Irina looked at Lynn with reproachful eyes, seeming to accuse him of wrongdoing.
"No, unless you count Quirrell," Irina admitted honestly.
Lynn chuckled and shook his head. "You'll get used to it. It won't be the last time."
Lynn understood Irina's current state. When Professor Green had blown off Cassilarch's head, Lynn had been too consumed by adrenaline from close combat to vomit. However, recalling that scene still made him nauseous.
With a wave of his wand, Lynn cast a vanishing charm, clearing the sickening scene.
"Let's go back. You should also learn the shield charm," Lynn said, heading towards the Shrieking Shack.
Irina's complexion remained unsettled as she glanced at Lynn with a complicated expression before closely following him.
She understood that killing would become common after Voldemort's return, but as a former ordinary university student, adjusting her mindset in such a short time was challenging.
Dammit, I must keep up with his pace and not become a burden!
Irina gazed at Lynn's back, silently resolving herself.
