Blaise's POV

*Knock* *Knock*
"It's open" I replied turning towards the door as Lily and Sirius entered the door. Seeing them enter I directed an annoyed glare towards them which they easily ignored.
"You knew we were gonna have to talk at some point hiding in your room was just delaying it," Lily said conjuring a pair of plush chairs for her and Sirius to sit. I sighed and sat on the bed looking at them.
'...I guess there is a reason why Blaise loved living here, the rooms cleaned, and everything is the same as Blaise left when here left last Easter-'
"So?" I asked with a raised eyebrow.
"How are you feeling? Is your magic stable now?" Sirius asked.
"Yeah Siri, I feel better now, see..." I concentrated and summoned a bottle of water to me and started opening the cap.
"Good! now how about answering the first question?" Lily asked with a pointed look.
"I don't know Lily, and sorry about today, I know I was ignoring everyone in order to keep my distance but... I guess I need to see Rose too-" I sighed and continued, "I guess it's taking me harder than I thought to adapt to this..." I said letting some of my original feelings slip through.
'I don't know who I am, I know I'm not Blaise because there are these other sets of vague memories in my head, I know I had a loving family, but I cannot recall their names or appearances, I have no recollection of how my life happened just tons of information whenever I read Harry Potter books or movies or fanfictions... Damn was I a Harry Potter nerd or some shit and now I'm here sitting before a happy and healthy Sirius and Lily Potter who are looking at me with concern...'
My feelings regarding the two people in front of me were confusing as well, Blaise knew them very well, I have lived under their care for the past two years. But I also know they are just some characters from a book that was written based on one person's imagination.
'Yet I could feel the warmth in their touch and...'
I shook myself out of the daze and focus on Lily who was looking at me with a concerned expression, "You are doing that a lot, thinking too much, you can talk to me you know that right? we won't tell Harry or Daphne..."
"You don't have to worry about us Lily, you know I won't ever be friends with either of them again, right?" I asked peeking at her expression somehow hoping I don't see any disappointment.
"I know," Lily said when Sirius jumped in, "...and I know you feel awkward here, so if you want, we can go to the Black family house. You should see the thing I did with those muggle car parts we sto-" he stopped immediately, "I mean we bought at the store right, bought at the store..."
I smiled at Lily glaring at Sirius before saying, "Yeah I would like that, I so wanted to try that new company's model, what was that the guy said, 'This is the fastest car in the market?'... I don't mind it here, I can visit Rose and bully Evan and Neville later though..." I added towards Lily who smiled.
"Alright, you can go back with Sirius later, now how about we have that talk about you experimenting and nearly killing yourself because of a self-modified potion?"
I laughed awkwardly under her glare, "I don't regret it-" I said, and her face turned red with anger as she stood up and started ranting.
"You don't regret it? There are a million things that could have gone wrong Blaise, you modified an already obscure potion to the extent that it dabbled in soul magic and then you ingested it under no supervision, you could have died, you could have forgotten us, lost your magic, suppressed all your feelings... Merlin what were you thinking-" she was about to go on when I used the only argument that I could think of in the last few hours.
"Because I didn't want to turn into fucking SNAPE!!!" I whispered harshly as her expression turned stunned.
"What?" she asked her surprise turning into an incredulous expression, so I continued,
"I don't know okay, I wasn't in the right state of mind, Occlumency sucks you know, yes it gives you the ability to temper and control your mind but when things get out of control it sucks..." I sat back down on the bed not noticing when I stood up to match her.
"I could clearly picture them together on my tower, that was my tower, my safe place for when I wanted to hide from the world and... I couldn't even go there, I can easily see when I slipped off the sanity edge you know..." I tapped towards my head, "...now that the potion has done its work I can see when I slowly became depressed and decided that even if I die, I can at least escape from the pain upon noticing how I would end up without it." I peaked at her expression as her concerned expression returned.
"Don't worry I'm not using occlumency, you know we could use that potion to cure depression now that I think about it if we ever managed to fix it... maybe Voldemort could use a dose or two?" I tried joking but she didn't respond lightly instead asked, "What do you mean by turning into Snape?"
"Lily, you know what I meant, you can see the similarities, you just don't want to expect that I said it, and that I am right, without the potion either I would have killed myself or grew up to be a resentful sociopath, now we both know the wizarding world has barely recovered from the shadow of the last genius sociopath, we are soooo not ready for another one..." I cracked a smile but upon reading her blank expression stopped and stepped forward to hug her.
I squeezed her tightly and felt her hug me back before looking at Sirius's expression, "Nope, we are not hugging, this was a one-time thing for Lily, plus she's beautiful you on the other hand look like crap!" I looked at the slight smile on her face, so I stepped back and sat back down.
"Plus, I promise I won't ingest illegal self-improved potions again-" I gave them a cheeky grin and noticed their unimpressed expressions.
"Hey, it isn't my fault, the Selwyn library is shit! they don't have half the relevant information regarding and particular branch of magic just books upon books for dark rituals and curses that scare the shit of me, it was soo hard to even get a half-decent book on magical theory and mind arts in there, I don't know what the bastard did to the family library..." I complained remembering Blaise feeling frustrated because there weren't any suitable books for potions and runes in the library.
Sirius looked like a lightbulb as his face lit up, "Yeah, you could use the Black family library!!" he exclaimed suddenly, "...It's been bugging me a lot too, you know I have been meaning to clean the library of those really dark tomes that reside somewhere deep down in that library, you know my family was a nutjob and now that Alexandra is going to start Hogwarts she would be using the library too and I wanted to clean it before that happens, you could help me comb through it slowly and we can store the really dark books in a secure vault in Gringotts."
'Wow, I didn't even have to work for that one, Black family is one of the oldest in Britain, and now all that century's worth of magic is within my grasp.'
"Wow you won't mind, I mean it's your family's magic?"
"Nonsense, you are family too Blaise, plus you are helping me keep the really dark stuff away from my daughter so can think of this as a barter transaction... anyway enough talking about books, you can go through the library tomorrow, so do we ditch the redhead and I'll show you the cool bike I made from the stolen parts!" He was excited and I ignored his sudden exclamation of pain as Lily hit him with a stinging hex.
"Yeah, let's go, just wait for me I need to say good night to someone..." I said before skipping out of the room letting my memories guide me towards the small bedroom beside the master bedroom.
"Knock Knock," I said loudly.
"...Who's there" a high-pitched voice replied to me.
'she sounds excited!'
"Luke," I said.
"Luke who?" she asked as she opened the door and flung herself to hug me.
"Luke who ruined my joke" I chuckled as I hugged her back and said, "I just wanted to say good night before I go, I'm going to Uncle Sirius's house, why don't you come by tomorrow and I'll show you some magic..." I let her go as she nodded excitedly. I ruffled her hair and said, "Good night, Ginger!" I chuckled again at her pout and waved goodbye before going back towards the living room.
"Ready?" Sirius asked holding a pot of floo powder out towards me.
"Yeah, Let's go!"
AN: Sorry about the late update! I wrote a chapter with a time skip to a few weeks and Blaise has already familiarized himself with all the spells, but then I decided to write it out and also introduce Alexandra Black.
Plus this is the end for all the heavy touchy feeling stuff, Let's have some fun now right?
Creation is hard, cheer me up!
