Kapitel 7: Chapter 7: My Another Target
Hearing this of course he wanted those exiled people, they are not a real criminal but just a good people hated by an emperor.
Just yesterday Hao Ruofei wanted to do a revolution, but this revolution cannot be run by him alone. He need manpower and those who are honest.
He knows history either from europe country or china were full of bloody sadness, it was build from sacrifice after sacrifice then come the modern society. For example, the emperor can take as many concubine as they want and if they died, the concubine who didn't bear a son would be buried with the deceased. In another country, some widow who lost the husband would burn at stake together with the deceased husband.
So he went out to a county and his first priority is to make a money, with money so many thing can be bought. This is a society that can buy a people and make them a slave, they are also life and death deeds.
The master especially in a palace can punish the servant or executed them at will, some people was forced to sell their body to a rich family so they can afford the medicine for their father, some people sell their daughter so they can have a dowry for their son.
The servant won't get freedom until the master release them, even if their master exiled they themselves would be sold to another people. In some cases, this people would be sell to other official, but most of them would be bought by a brothel. Surprisingly, the brothel is a legal business and he really wanted to end this bullshit but to do so he need those who are loyal to him.
The afternoon he arrived infront of county city.
"1 person 3 dime, if you bring your pet you need to pay the total 5 dime" said the guard.
Hao Ruofei knows the important of tax so he just paid the money without a hesitation. The town and countryside is really different, we can see the difference of prosperity of this two place.
In countryside people are more focus on surviving, find food, plant crops and in the town they focus on leisurely. Now thinking back, where does his ex father got alcohol?
"System, how does my ex father got alcohol?"
[He was good at socializing, when he spoke it feel like rainbow fart]
"So does that mean, someone paid for him?"
[Yeah, someone paid for him]
In modern era, someone who are good at socializing they will build networking and founded a business. But his ex father wasted it in alcohol and prostituition.
Inside the town he saw many beggar who mostly are children begging for money. Most of them are powerless and weak woman and more are son and daughter from brothel.
He then decided to get close to one of the beggar, the girl looked like 7 years old.
"Child how are you" said Hao Ruofei.
Startled with greeting, the child looked very scared with Ruofei who are the most tall man she had seen.
"Im fine sir" gulped that little girl.
"How old are you child" asked Ruofei.
"Im 9 years old" replied the child.
Most kids who are homeless had become quiet and they looked at Ruofei and the girl.
Ruofei feel pity towards the child, the only reason the children would look much younger its because of malnutrition.
"Do you have siblings?" asked Ruofei again.
"I have a sister who are 6 years old and brother who are 4 years old" said the child.
"Why do you begging a money?" asked Ruofei.
"Because my mother is sick, her body had rash" said the child.
"Im a doctor, I can treat your mother" said ruofei.
The child was surprised then her eyes beamed towards Ruofei.
"Kind sir, please save my mother" the child begged to Ruofei.
"Show me where is your home" Ruofei then smiled at the child.
While walking, Ruofei asked the child why there is so many children begging on the street.
"Some of us had lost the parents, for me I still have a mother but I didn't know who is my father"
"Are your mom from brothel?"
The child face become red then she nodded. It looks like, this child is one of the bastard (in a novel, the child of prostitute is called bastard)
"Does your mother still worked at brothel?
"No she no longer works there after she become sick"
"Before this where are you staying?"
"We live in a Lord marquies house, my mother is one of the concubine. But last year we were kicked out and were sent to the brothel again"
"What happen there?" asked ruofei curious with this lord marquies.
"They said we jinxed their family"
"Do you feel sad because you were being kicked out?"
"Nope, we are happy than before"
"Why?"
"No one bully us and no one mocked us here" smiled the little girl.
They then arrived at the woodshed.
"This is my new home, please come in kind sir"
The house is humid and a bit smelly, ruofei could see the figure on top of stone bed. When he got closer he saw someone who should be dead a long time ago.
"Mo... mother" said Ruofei.
The voice of Ruofei startled the woman who are sick condition. She then open her eyes and saw the young man looking at her.
'This man called me mother, is he?' thought the woman.
"Mother, why are you here?" asked Ruofei.
