Daphne took a spoonful bite of her meal. Kian cooking was as good as his mother's, almost better than his mother's. Daphne couldn't go outside to buy anything that was needed to cook so Kian had gone out earlier by himself. Daphne felt a little bad that she couldn't help him out with anything other than washing the dish, but she thought that not cooking was a good way to save both of their life. Kian was recovering, there was no need for him to be sick again all because Daphne wanted to try her luck in the kitchen.
"Very soon I will be calling my father." Kian glanced at Daphne. She was at the far end of the dining table. She only nodded at him and continued eating without a reply. "I no longer feel any pain from my wound, all that's left is for the scars to heal up completely, then we can return back to Rays city."
