Talon slowly opened his eyes, finding himself back in the familiar confines of his bedroom. However, something felt distinctly off that day. His eyes struggled to adjust to the morning light, and a wave of malaise washed over him. His body was unusually heavy, and a feverish warmth emanated from within.
Glancing at the wall clock, he noted it was already 6 a.m. He had missed his morning run, a staple of his daily routine. Attempting to lift himself from bed, a sudden, intense dizziness gripped him. His head throbbed painfully, forcing him to clutch at his forehead with both hands. His body felt weighted down, each movement an arduous task.
"What's happening to me?" Talon murmured weakly, collapsing back onto the bed. The realization slowly dawned on him, "Am I sick?"
