"Where do you want me to take you, Maya?" Talon asked as he drove the car aimlessly, waiting for her directive.

Maya chuckled at his question. "Not really. I don't want people to see me walking around with a guy who's supposed to have a special connection with his partner from 'Passionate Beats,'" she explained.

"And then?" Talon glanced at Maya, noting how elegantly she was dressed, indicating she had plans for something specific.

"You said I need to accompany you before you would answer my question, right?" he reminded her.

Leaning forward, Maya rested her hands on Talon's shoulder, even as he continued to drive. She playfully poked his cheek and caressed it with her finger. "I only said that to annoy that plump guy back there," she confessed with a mischievous grin.

"Plump guy?" Talon asked, puzzled.

"Yes, the one who replaced Alice as the apartment manager," Maya clarified.
