He grinned ruefully. “I can’t quite get used to the new me.”

He laughed softly. “You mean it wasn’t because of Gino’s scintillating personality?”

I laughed myself. Gino was…not bright was the kindest way to phrase it. “Well, now you have the look of a…a…”

“A rugged individualist?” Tanner offered, and I was spared saying a man’s man, this man’s man. He sighed. “I was used to that face, sir. Well, at least I can move about London without fear of having my balls ripped off.”
