Kapitel 152: Tamara

From a loving familyflakesaving a place to call home, to being an orphan and seeing everything he owned burned to the ground. From freedom, to being a slave. From sleeping on the floor where the air stench of sweat and piss, to sleeping in decent rooms. From eating gruel, to having meat at meals. From being a scared shivering boy, to soaking his hand with blood and heat. From being an absolute nobody, and then going to meet the King. Nobody – especially Diego didn't expect his journey would take such turns.

"Scared, kid?" Nibur asked hunched forward. "Do you really want to come along with us?"

Fear – no, that was not what he was feeling. The King was only a human and an old one at that. He had seen things far worse and, going to the palace seemed tame compared to them.
