Kapitel 30: chapter 30 : Harvest
The convoy finally arrived at the granary and upon arriving, they had detected no living beings or zombies in the area. Drake knew that these rats were numerous and fierce but he didn't care, his team was powerful enough to handle them even without him and Yue also had fierce soldiers in his ranks, they didn't have quantity but quality.
They got out of the vehicles, Yue and Drake were in front when the ground started to shake.
"They are coming and there are many of them! » Drake whispered, smiling.
In front of them they could only see a black tide made up of thousands of rats as big as cats rushing towards them.
"Get ready!" » Yue told his men who drew their guns.
"Have your men fire towards the funnels!" » Drake said quietly to Yue.
Yue: What funnels?!
Drake smiled as he tapped his foot on the ground and three large solid earth formed funnels came out of the ground into the rats path to gather in front of the three small openings. On the sides were two large, long walls that prevented the rats from escaping through the sides and forcing them through the funnels.
" Monster ! Drake is truly a monster!! » Yue couldn't help but repeat to himself.
He really considered himself lucky to be on good terms with such a dangerous guy but lazy enough not to want to take power over his camps.
Everyone looked at Drake as a monster, an extremely powerful and dangerous being. He only stomped his foot and the rats were already in trouble!!
"SHOOT THE THREE FUNNEL EXITS!" » Yue shouted to his men and they started firing. Yue Zhong's soldiers were not exceptional marksmen but it was easy to hit the rats grouped on the three exits because there were so many of them.
Drake looked at Mike and Maya.
Drake : How are your gun skills?!
Mike: Thanks to the instructions from our big sisters, Lan and Yin, we know how to shoot quite well now.
Drake: Over 100 meters what are your records for headshots?!
Maya: 95/100 for me and 98/100 for Mike!
Drake was really very pleasantly surprised, these two didn't even have any gun control skill books but were already so strong.

Yue had brought two tankers full of fuel to set fire to the rats if the situation demanded and wanted to use them but Drake stopped him by reminding him that the fuel was going to be rare and precious.
Drake: Wang Lan and Mike, cremate these critters for us.
Yue: Everyone cease fire or our weapons will be destroyed by overheating.
All these men stopped shooting as Wang Lan and Mike positioned themselves in front of the group facing the rats which continued to come out.
Wang Lan concentrated and generated a medium-sized ball of flames which she sent directly to the entrance of the first funnel and when the sphere touched the rats, immediately a gigantic field of extremely hot blue women erupted. dripped onto the rats inside the funnel.
" So strong !" the soldiers exclaimed in fear.
Mike saw that Wang Lan had already generated enough flame so he activated the electric mode of the module on his black staff and immediately, a huge amount of lightning erupted from the staff scaring even Mike.
He was the user of the module so the energy generated would not harm him and obeyed his thoughts.
Like a mage, Mike immediately sent the mass of lightning at the rats and the electricity spread over them all killing them by the hundreds.
The two quickly leveled up, Mike went from level 15 to 21 and Wang Lan went from level 26 to 28. Mutant beasts gave much more experience points than zombies.
*SCRIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIE*
After thousands of rats died, a huge high-pitched scream rang out. Drake and Yue had the same thought "The mutant rat leader has made his move!" .
Yue looked at Drake "Dude I'm going to go take care of their leader, this might be a suicide mission so a little help will be appreciated."
Drake: Alright, let's go! Lan, Yin, Mike and Maya I'll let you handle everything here, certainly there are other bigger rats, they are rodents so they can dig galleries. Stay vigilant!
W. Yin: Master, are you going somewhere?! Can we come ?
Drake: I'm going to kill the rat leader with Yue, you and the others have to stay there to handle things. I'll be back very soon OK?!
She and the other three just nodded their heads. Drake looked at Yue and asked him to get ready, immediately, Yue's suit tightened on him and Drake made him fly through the air with him towards the granary where the scream rang out.
Yue was surprised to be flying like that all of a sudden, he thought Drake was controlling him but he quickly realized that it was his suit that was under Drake's control.
"Unbelievable, they fly! The Chief and Lord Drake are flying !"
"Fuck!! It's so cool, I want to fly too"
"I feel like I'm dreaming!"
The men on the ground were shocked watching them fly so high. In the ranks, little Yao Yao looked at Drake with a determined look. She really wanted to be part of his group.
Drake and Yue arrived above the granary where 7 large rats were seen, they distinguished thanks to their observation skills that 6 black rats which were the same size as humans were close guards of the rat king, they were level 24 and were practically ratmen physically with 20cm long claws.
The 7th rat was much larger than the others and was all white with crown-like hairs on its head.

Ability: He can control legions of mutant rats at will.]
Yue: It's him, we're going to get him.
The Rat King looked at them and let out a huge high pitched scream. Suddenly another tide of rats came out of the attic with 30 Rat king's guards heading towards Yue's group and Drake's unit .
Yue saw the scene and panicked but Drake reassured him that everything was going to be okay because his team was there until they returned. The king continued to flee with his 20 new guards around him when Drake and Yue caught up with him.
Drake: I'll take care of the 20 guards in the back and you will face the king and his first 6 guards. That works ?!
Yue: Perfect!
Drake landed directly between the 20 guards with his black sword and launched Yue towards the king in front.
The guards charged at Drake hoping to kill him quickly and join their endangered king but when they were less than 10m from him, 7 rats fell headless directly to the ground.
These guards were level 28, they had the same speed and strength as the Zombie Hunters but to Drake, they were just ants.
In less than 3 seconds, all 20 guards died by his sword because Drake was too fast and Tyrannical even without using his special or physical abilities.
He rose into the air to watch Yue finish off the king's last guards before attacking the king himself, Yue's fight was quite entertaining for Drake, Yue wore a system uniform with the skin of a type 2 python and at this point, he was virtually invulnerable.
Not only was he stronger than in the novel, but his extremely solid defense allowed him to fight in full offense without worrying about his defense.
He killed the Rat King quickly and moved up to level 32
Yue was now trying to open the rat king's skull to extract the blood essence or core but the skull was really solid. He noticed Drake looking at him casually and asked if he could open the king's skull.
With a single swing of the sword that even Yue couldn't see, the king's solid skull was split in two and Yue was able to take what he wanted.
Yue: Drake we have to go back to see the others, I'm a little worried now!
Drake just nodded they flew to the group's location where he saw them chasing away the rats that were on the run. Their king was dead and they had no one left to command them so they fled, the ground was littered with the corpses of countless rats and several royal guards.
Suddenly holes formed from the ground and more royal rat guards came out to fight, Drake was still watching the battle scene in amusement and even Yue was relaxed seeing the men slaughtering the rats.
Using Drake's black uniforms, Yue's elite warriors fought fiercely and effectively against the rats while gaining levels. Drake's men were quite relaxed as they fought, watching over the soldiers to avoid potential deaths.
Drake: See ? I told you that my men would manage it.
Yue: Yeah, they're tough.
They continued to look and Drake noticed two rather amusing things, the first was a giant green chick that killed rats with its beak, it was little Greenie a giant baby eagle that Yue had tamed in Drake's absence but he recognized him because of the novel and was not surprised to see him. The second element was little Yao Yao who fought fiercely in Drake's uniform which was adjusted to her body shape.
The kid was an evolver based on agility and she moved very quickly while killing mutant rats, her talent was indisputable. She had even saved a few men by killing an elite guard single-handedly but she directly took the skill book left by the guard for herself thus violating Yue Zhong's rules according to which any system objects dropped will be returned to him because he is the only one to distribute the skills and weapons system according to the merit of the soldiers, anyone caught stealing or hiding an object was severely punished.
Drake just shook his head and seeing the rats being practically exterminated, he knew he had to intervene to prevent this because he would still have some use for these rats.
In the air, he released a tiny bit of his aura which immediately terrified everyone, humans and mutated beasts alike. Yue and everyone else were literally shaking in fear and the rats were completely horrified and shaking just like Greenie who was terrified looking at Drake.
Drake sealed his aura and all the humans were able to breathe again and were trying to catch their breath.
The royal guards looked at the humans with malice before screaming and fleeing with the rest of the rats into the surrounding buildings.
Drake: Sorry everyone, it was a skill of mine, I needed a good number of these rats to stay alive to give a gift to the Long Hai government soldiers who will come here.
Everyone could only look at him in horror, this guy was really sneaky on top of being powerful. However his idea was really good if he wanted to cause unnecessary losses to the troops of Long Hai city who were now potential enemies.
After the battle, Yue went to see the few men in his group who were slightly injured but beginning to heal by applying the powder of a medicinal herb discovered by Yue Zhong in Drake's absence. Drake went to his team who had gained levels to start congratulating them.
The men after the fight were starving so they started carving up and roasting the corpses of the mutant rats and soon the whole area smelled of roasting meat.
Greenie the giant chick started gobbling up the rat corpses with gusto and even Drake had decided to make a magnificent rat stew for him and his team.
Smelling the divine smell of Drake's food, everyone including Yue wanted to taste it but Drake simply refused. He had only cooked for his team and him exclusively.
Yue asked his men to load the dead rats into trucks and take them back to the village to ask residents to smoke the meat and collect the rats' fur. He also asked them to bring back the second container truck from the village to transport the rats.
It was already night and the trucks had already made several rounds to transport the corpses of the mutant rats. Yue decided it was time to open the attic and take the food while they had the chance.
Once the granary was opened, hundreds of tons of food were piled up, rice, cereals and many other food products. Of the 8 granary compartments, 3 had been ravaged by rats and the other 5 were almost intact.
Yue's men were all incredibly excited, the rats already had a large supply of meat but now they had collected tons of extra food.
Yue ordered the food loaded into the trucks immediately, there were too many and they were practically going to spend part of the night there transporting the supplies.
Drake saw that night had already fallen so he told Yue that he was going to leave with his team. Yue looked at him with complicated emotions, ever since he knew Drake, this guy always helped him without asking for anything in return and even in this granary where there was a lot of food, Drake had nothing request.
"Let me know if anything interesting happens" Drake said to Yue who nodded smiling he decided that from this day on he will share his decisions with Drake and always act together.
Drake waved to his team and they all got into their black Hummer H5. While he was driving, to the surprise of his men, he took a different direction than SHV.
Mike: Boss, we're not going back to the village?!
Drake: No, I have a surprise for you! We're going to our house, it's a surprise.
The others were starting to get excited, each time Drake did unreal things but now he said he even had a surprise for them so they were all looking forward to it.
