Ryan woke up later, evidently aware of the fact that he had some explaining that he needed to do on his end. He still hadn't told me how he suspected that the brakes from my car had been remove by someone.

"Isn't that bad?." He asked holding his game, using one hand to remove the spec from his eyes. Ryan was referring to the cigarette I was smoking, judging by his tone, his mom was definitely very keen on no smoking.

"As if staying staying up late is any different?." I countered, and took released a thick cloud of smoke. Paige was still out shopping, so it was just us two at home.

"Am not the one whose gonna die." The kid blurted out, staring into his game like a mindless zombie. I lowered my lip to make a comeback at him, but decided against it.

"Tell me, who do you think took out my car brakes?." The question ate at me all this while, just the thought of Charleston being involved pissed me off.
