"B-boss Xin!"

Lucas saw nothing but Liliana falling from the stairs. The breeze hit him hard, he charged forward and hastily grabbed her arm in the last crucial second.

"Ah! You're falling!"

"C-careful!"

The passersby yelled. They got caught in the shocking event. The person who bumped into Liliana earlier froze on his spot, unable to perceive what was happening due to his simple action.

"Ergh!"

Lucas tried to tug Liliana back but, he lost his footing to the clashing force of her weight pulled by gravity.

"Mr. Liu!" shouted Liliana, awake from her shock.

Liliana stretched out one arm, frantically seizing the steel railing. Her hand missed it by a tiny fraction.

Lucas did the same and managed to grab it. His palm skidded on the steel surface before a post cap stopped him.

Yanking Liliana toward him, Lucas twisted his body. His back crashed on the railing, breaking off the fall.
