Lucas and Kevin were only allowed inside the ICU after they wore sets of protective clothes; gloves, isolation gowns, face masks and hats. They obediently followed the nurse's guidance.

Linda was not the only patient inside the ICU. Lucas and Kevin moved quietly, afraid of disturbing other sick people.

Dr. Long appeared shortly due to the emergency call. Two more nurses tailed from behind. The medical providers gathered around Linda's bed to check on Linda, led by the doctor.

Lucas and Kevin stood quite a distance away from Linda. They didn't want their presence to hinder Dr. Long and the nurses from performing the necessary tests. The brothers' eyes were glued on the bed.

"Mom... she really... has woke up now?"

Kevin's voice was laced with tremors. He almost burst into tears at the sight of Linda weakly blinking her eyes. This still felt so surreal to him.
