Kapitel 82: Kill Her With Care

Everything turned awkward as soon as mother and daughter were outside. They knew they had been putting on a show inside and now, the show was over.

"I never knew you were this sly?" Damon's mom said out of nowhere. 

"Oh," Nessa turned beet red and tried to withdraw her hands hooked around Rita Claire's arm, however, the woman held onto her tighter. 

"No daughter-in-law of mine is going to be a pushover," The woman smirked. 

"So, it's a good thing to be sly?" Nessa wondered if she would go take class 101 on how to be sly. 

"In front of your loved ones? No. In front of the sharks and predators? Go ahead, I got your back," the woman gave her support.

"Why are you so nice to me?" Nessa blurted out and she felt the great need to bang her head against the wall. Why did she have to say that - now Damon's mother was no longer thinking of kidnapping her? 

"Do I need a reason to be kind to you?" Mrs. Claire asked back, confusing her.
