Kapitel 82: Chapter 82: Building Bonds

The morning sun bathed the New City in golden light as Satoshi stood near the main plaza, watching the workers carry beams and bricks to their designated spots. Today felt like a good day—there was an atmosphere of determination among the construction crews, and Satoshi was eager to see how much progress they could make before sunset.

Amber, who had joined the project in the previous days, was already hard at work. She had become an invaluable part of the team, her boundless energy and positivity driving everyone to work harder. Satoshi could see her chatting animatedly with Lumine near the residential area, her laughter bright and contagious.

Paimon floated up to Satoshi, nibbling on a pastry she had gotten from the convenience store. "Satoshi, it looks like everyone's in high spirits today! Paimon thinks we might be able to finish a whole section of houses before the day ends!"

Satoshi smiled at Paimon, nodding. "I hope so, Paimon. Everyone's been working so hard, and it's all coming together so well. With Amber's help, we're making even faster progress than I expected."

Paimon grinned. "Amber's been amazing! She makes everything seem like an adventure. Even carrying bricks seems fun when she's around!"

Satoshi chuckled and looked over to see Amber waving at him, gesturing for him to come over. He made his way to her, passing by workers who greeted him with smiles and nods.

"Hey, Satoshi!" Amber called, her eyes bright with excitement. "Lumine and I were just talking about setting up a small training ground here in the New City—you know, for all the adventurers who are bound to come through. What do you think?"

Satoshi raised an eyebrow, intrigued. "A training ground? That sounds like a great idea. It would definitely attract adventurers and give them a reason to stick around longer. Plus, it would add another layer to the community we're building."

Lumine nodded in agreement. "Exactly. We want this place to be more than just a city—we want it to be a hub for all kinds of people. Adventurers, merchants, scholars—everyone should feel like there's something here for them."

Amber beamed. "That's the spirit! I'll start working on some ideas for it, and maybe we can rope in Kaeya and the other Knights to help set it up. I'm sure they'd love to contribute."

Satoshi nodded thoughtfully. "Let's do it. We'll need to find the right spot for it—somewhere accessible but out of the way enough that it doesn't disturb the residents."

Paimon floated around them, clapping her hands together. "This is going to be so cool! Paimon can already see all the adventurers coming here to train, buying snacks at the convenience store, and hanging out in the plaza. This city is going to be the best!"

The rest of the morning passed quickly as the group continued their work. Amber moved between tasks effortlessly—helping organize materials, lending a hand to the workers constructing homes, and even using her archery skills to help secure some high beams in place. Her cheerful demeanor kept everyone motivated, and it wasn't long before Satoshi could see the real progress they were making.

Later in the day, Kaeya arrived with a group of Knights to lend a hand, just as Amber had suggested. He strolled up to Satoshi, his usual playful smile on his face.

"I heard there was some heavy lifting that needed doing," Kaeya said, giving Satoshi a mock salute. "And of course, I couldn't let Amber have all the fun."

Satoshi laughed, shaking his head. "Glad to have you here, Kaeya. We're making good progress today, but there's still a lot to do."

Amber joined them, her face lighting up when she saw Kaeya. "Kaeya! Perfect timing! We were just talking about setting up a training ground for adventurers here in the New City. Think the Knights would be interested in helping out?"

Kaeya raised an eyebrow, intrigued. "A training ground, you say? That sounds like an excellent idea. I'm sure the Knights would be more than happy to assist. Plus, it gives us a good reason to come by more often."

Amber grinned. "Great! We'll make it happen, then."

As the sun began to dip lower in the sky, the day's work began to wrap up. The residential district was beginning to take shape, with several houses now standing tall, their frameworks sturdy and their walls rising steadily. The workers, though tired, were smiling, clearly proud of what they had accomplished.

Satoshi, Amber, Kaeya, Lumine, Beidou, and Paimon gathered near the campfire that had become a nightly tradition. They sat in a circle, sharing snacks and stories, the glow of the fire casting a warm light over their faces.

"You know," Amber said, looking around at her friends, "it's amazing to see how far we've come. When I first heard about the New City, I didn't imagine it would come together like this. But being here, seeing everyone working together—it's inspiring."

Kaeya nodded, his gaze thoughtful. "It's not often you get to be a part of something like this—building a city from the ground up. And it's not just the buildings—it's the people, the community. That's what makes it special."

Beidou raised her cup of water, her grin wide. "To the New City and to the road ahead. We may have a long way to go, but with this crew, I have no doubt we'll get there."

"To the New City!" everyone echoed, their voices carrying into the night.

As the stars began to twinkle above them, Satoshi looked out over the construction site. The houses, the road, the plaza—all of it was a testament to their hard work and determination. And it wasn't just about the buildings or the technology—it was about the friendships they had forged, the bonds that held them together, and the shared dream they were bringing to life.

He smiled, feeling a deep sense of purpose. The journey was far from over—there were still roads to build, challenges to face, and dreams to realize. But with friends like these by his side, he knew they could accomplish anything.

"One step at a time," Satoshi whispered, watching the flames flicker. "We'll build this—together."
