Solomon woke up in a strange colourless land, the veil of shadows. He looked around himself in alarm as his mind was still processing the reality of burning to death, not a fun experience. He inspected his hands and touched his face to be sure he was whole. The burns were no more.
After his nerves had calmed down, Anubis appeared behind him. He bangs his staff on the ground to get Solomon's attention. When he turned, two balls revolved around him, one black and one white.
"Ah, you must be Anubis, guardian of the dead," Solomon said.
"You know of me? Surprising, no human of this era has ever recognized me before," Anubis stated.
"Well, no human has ever had time in the palm of their hands either."
Intrigued, Anubis begins to walk slowly around him with his eyes examining him from tip to toe. "So you're the mortal that stole the book of time. Tell me how much you know about this world."
Yeah, I'm still alive. Shocker, right?
