Lyghtning, who was standing beside Ath3na, raised her hand.
"Aren't you forgetting something, Raven Queen," she said.
"I haven't forgotten," Morrigan said.
She pointed a finger at the far corner of the circular room. On a bookshelf that was right next to where Leo and Morgana were hiding in shadow, although Ath3na and her friends didn't know that.
"You're quite fast, aren't you?" Morrigan smiled as if she'd just remembered that Lyghtning was the one who struck her avatar down. "Why don't you go fetch the knowledge you desire from that shelf… it's the thick volume with the red binding."
Lyghtning flashed Morrigan a smile before she vanished from Ath3na's side.
Ath3na wanted to tell her friend to be cautious. Sure, if this were a normal MMORPG then defeating the raid boss might have made the tower safe for the players, but as everyone now knew, the Abyss was anything but normal.
Greetings, fellow reapers!
Okay, so I said this would be the last chapter for the volume but the explanations ran kind of long so there will be one more chapter before the volume ends. :D
Will Ath3na and friends be able to save Lyghtning from whatever it is that's haunting her? Find out tomorrow! :p
Guys, brand new week. Please don't forget to vote. If we hit the top 100 this month I'll do a mass release in a way I've never done before. :D So help GMofS rise in the rankings if you like the book!
