Leo gazed at the flashing lights of the advertisements surrounding both sides of Broadway. He inhaled the brisk spring air and smelled that familiar hint of sewage combined with the aroma of hotdogs from the nearby stall. He heard the honking of cars and the hailing of cabs as New Yorkers went about their daily lives. And at that moment, Leo felt a tear roll down his cheek. He was home.
It had been months since he'd visited the mortal plane during that time he and Morgana scared his subordinate to death with visions of an undead Leo telling him to build that memorable Easter egg.
Now that he was back, Leo couldn't help but feel just a little emotional. After all, this was what the entire struggle was about for him — finding a way home. Well, that and completing his dream of building the ultimate game which in a way he was already doing with the Abyss.
Greetings, fellow reapers!
I know the current system is flawed, but you guys can blame McCloud for not figuring out how the human banking system or Paypal works yet! But at least it gives Dani and his minions an excuse to hang out in the mortal plane, right?
But I hope you all liked the idea of the Auction House. I've been meaning to get this up and running in earlier chapters but didn't have space for it then.
I'll have some big news for GMofS over the weekend. Stay tuned!
